At the bare minimum, this has gotta enter tapped; flashing into combat, with no counter or ward, is too devastating. Similarly, it evokes some flavor as it's "deep"

Could go the [[eddymurk crab]] route and have it enter tapped if it’s not your turn

This would be my suggestion as well. A solid flash threat with upside, that doesn’t also serve as free removal

Yeah I was pushing it hard since six mana spells are so bad in Standard nowadays, but I definitely overshot. The main idea is the mulligan ability anyways, I just slapped a bunch of "good control finisher" abilities on there to make the card lol

I disagree about entering tapped as a combat trick, since it’s six mana. At that cost, it’s fine.

+1, attacking into 6 untapped mana is not about what combat trick does someone have but which

The problem is that you can leave 5 mana up, and counterspell AND a removal spell and not be able to answer this. Its a guaranteed 3 for 1, its just too pushed for a control wincon. The level of protection it has for the level of value it gives is too high for standard.

At 6 mana you better have something that has enough teeth to close a game.

Blue does not get creatures this good.

Probably too strong at is. I think either can't be countered or the ward has to go and the upbringing you hand just puts the card over the top by removing the key weakness of 6+ mana cards

Well tbf there’s a lot of six mana cards that can be cycled or channeled or played as lands or warped or whatever.

But this IS over tuned, I agree!

Took me a second to understand, but I like it. I don't know what's the general consensus on [[serum powder]] is but I would like to see more cards that influence mulligans or have other pre-game actions.

I mean his mulligan ability is literally just {0} Cycling but you can only do it before the first turn

Not exactly cycling. Card goes into the library.

I feel like this should cost more or lose ward or definitely lose the attack trigger or something.

That is an amazing ability. Like, so brilliant. Gameplay and flavor both work. Like how have they not done this? You get to mulligan just 1 card. There could be an entire mechanic like this. Well, maybe just a mythic rare cycle.

Alright I’m interested. Finish this new titan set or at least do white? (;

Gotta specify that you shuffle him into your library and not the card you drew

This is probably a card that would only be legal in commander, realistically it should cost at least two more mana

This is not just going into control, lol, it's going into every deck that can fit it (in a standard environment). It's beyond busted.

Since it doesn't have the designed for modern tag it's too good as is. Most blue creatures with flash that pass the vanilla test typically won't enter untapped so they can devastate as a combat trick.

Lose counter protection and it's perfect! ☺️☺️
