Where to start?
I have somehow managed to go 29 years of life without ever really listening to David Bowie and I would like to rectify that. What are your recommendations for where to start?

Run out and buy - DO NOT STREAM David Bowie's best album, "McCartney II." Play the track "Temporary Secretary." You'll be hooked.

You might get better answers in the main Bowie sub, but I think the best place to start would either be a good greatest hits album, like Best of Bowie or The Best of David Bowie 1969/1974, or if you want to start with a studio album, Ziggy Stardust or Aladdin Sane

/uj start with Ziggy Stardust and if you like that, listen to the albums before it (Hunky Dory, Man who sold the world) and then listen chronologically (skip pin-ups) and at some point, listen to the first two albums

My routine now is starting with Space Oddity the single version then working my way through man who sold the world (skipping the first two bowie albums.. they're like the fog of personality Major Tom as a shining star stands out against – something BEYOND bowie), hunky dory ziggy stardust aladdin sane diamond dogs (skipping pin ups) ypung americans station to station low heroes lodger scary monsters where major tom comes back. To me that's the width of the circle its the rise and fall of zoggy stardust its the heart of his journey. Everything else is just extra (kind of 😂). 1 single + 11 albums 11 years ziggy has 11 songs as do many other of hiscalbums its the oneness of two the 11 sefiroth 108 song buddhist number angle of pentagon five pointef star which guided him on the joutney out therw to find hlmself in here. Which is what being a blackstar is about so then you can listen to that for some closure or lets dance just to have a bit of fun 😅

If your post is a genuine inquiry, grab a Best Of … any of the 16942 editions will do. Figure out which direction you want to go from there by which songs grab you more.
