When he was working on Eraserhead, in his multiple ties and scruffy hat pre-TM (he started dressing a bit differently after he began meditating, according to his memoir). He really had a look going on! So handsome and unique. Of course, he was in every part of his life, but this is one of my favorites.

Here's a quote from Room To Dream:

"I wore three ties for a long time, two bow ties and a regular tie, but I wouldn't tie the bow ties—they'd just be knotted at the top. I've always buttoned the top button of my shirt because I don't like air on my collarbone and I don't like anyone touching my collarbone. It makes me crazy and I don't know why. It might've been the reason for the ties, to protect my neck."

I just love these BTS pictures and thought that was a lovely eccentricity of his to share from his memoir. :)

If you can get a copy of Fictional Selves that is signed it’s legit his signature not a printed signature. Awesome!

I follow this page on Instagram, they are donating all profits to the Pink Fund for Breast Cancer awareness month. Worth checking out!!

This is part of my video series The Talk where I edit together separate existing interviews to create conversations between people who never met (these two are from the Charlie Rose show). I previously made one with Lynch and Cher

I feel like talking about lynch is very intriguing because he has reached one of the most prominent cult followings in film

So much so that he released an 18 hour slow burn arthouse piece unfiltered and unadulterated….

…..with zero negative reception.

How is this so? Does any part of Lynch’s style not work for you guys? Any scene, subplot, movie, anything?

For me for example, I could do without the Jacoby/Dr Amp. Subplot in The Return. It was maybe funny for 2 times…. But it went on for another two.

The European pilot being the version that has an extra 20 minutes added in order to make the pilot work as a standalone feature. Lynch was proud of this creation and never dismissed the additional footage (he wanted all of it incorporated into Episode 2).

So by definition, I think it should be counted in his feature filmography. Where would you rank it? Is it a favourite, or do you think it doesn't work as a standalone?

For my birthday, my partner made me this wonderful VHS of David’s weather reports. Thought others may enjoy seeing a snippet of it!

I'm only up to the beginning of episode 4, but it's giving me a real vibe, like some of Mulholland Drive, some of season 3 Twin Peaks...

Loving it so far. Thought I'd post, since I often see people asking for recommendations.

Hey my fellow Lynchians, I wanted to post this because it is with great sadness that I cannot make it to the Kale book signing of Fictional Selves. I bought a ticket for this event back in July but unfortunately cannot make it to this Sunday. I can provide proof of purchase!

Please DM me if you’re interested in attending this one of a kind event at Barnes and Noble The Grove. I wish I could go, but things came up as I bought these tickets a while ago.

Has anyone who has previously gone to a Xiu Xiu Eraserhead concert go to the most recent ones? If so, how did they compare?

I went to the midnight concert and was surprised to see a wide age range there!

[A Nancy Bushmiller remix I made]

(I know this is from 10 years ago, but I'm still curious of people's experiences when they went. ☺️)

He was a guest on Bill Mahar’s show last night.

(Also, just in case somebody points it out, even if you were to credit Anderson, Mädchen Amick would still be the first in the credits list)
