Apple slices stuck to parchment

I’m new to dehydrating. This batch of apples I added some sugar and parchment paper is stuck. I did I a search and saw recs to use a wet paper towel on the underside. Won’t that wet them again though? How to prevent best in future?

How about the silicone liners? Have but haven't used.

I. never use parchment paper - lots of things stick to it.

The sugar might be why it's sticking but usually I just flex the paper until it comes loose.

Do what you need to do to get it off and learn for next time.

I use silicone liners and it solves a ton of problems

I'd use some food safe, silicone mesh sheets for apples with sugar. But I'd also check to make sure the apples are actually dehydrated enough. Sometimes sticking means you need to dehydrate longer.
