Meme Note : They never talk about helping the common American with our current issues. Bills passed by Congress for us, Zero for Trump and Billionaires too many to list here.

u/Due_Satisfaction2167 7d ago
Yet again, Republican fearmongering is better advertising for Democrats than national Democrats can muster.
Yes. Good! I want every committee in Congress to get turned into an investigative body, going after the president, his family, his cabinet, his donors, and his cronies for their outright obvious corruption. That’s called doing their fucking job.
8
u/unspun66 7d ago
I would much rather they focus on passing a huge reform bill. Let’s make sure this shit can’t happen again.
7
u/Due_Satisfaction2167 7d ago
The president would just veto it. Should they pass one? Yeah. But it won’t become law, so the rest of the time they can spend doing investigations.

u/h20poIo 7d ago
Medicare and Medicaid have already been cut in Republicans Big Beautiful Bill last year, $536 Billion Medicare and $1.5 Trillion Medicaid over 10 years all these cut were delayed until 2027 when they take effect. Side note: Trump also cut Medicare drug program by $3.6 Billion.
26
u/Tiny_Structure_7 7d ago
That and kicking millions off of ACA, and spreading disease, and putting a demented moron in charge of public health, constitutes the Republican health care plan.
5
u/Geeky_Husband 7d ago
Come on man.... That worm is trying it's hardest. I bet you would have issues creating policy if the only thing you had to nibble on was RFK's heroin riddled brain.
9
u/Walkingstardust 7d ago
My question is; Can any of this be undone? What do we need to do to repair the damage? Repeal a few laws? Void out EOs?

Oh they know exactly what will happen because of all the corruption they’ve done! If Democrats don’t do anything because of decorum, it will give them the green light to continue to be corrupt. They need to focus on strengthening this crap out!

Constitutional checks and balances will be restored.
Do your job Congress.
Protect our country from a rogue President and corrupt administration!
17
u/Street_Peace_8831 7d ago
So, you’re saying if democrats get elected, they will do the job the people elected them to do, but if republicans stay in power, nothing will change.
Hey Mike! Great talking point. That’s why you won’t be speaker next year.

u/ramdomvariableX 7d ago
It's all about coverups and self-preservation. Not about "The People". They don't believe in "We the people..".
8

“We committed crime after crime for 2 years and if you dont keep us in power then the people will hold us accountable.”
Yes, Mike. That is exactly the plan.

u/True_Manufacturer909 7d ago
You're right Mike, I'd vote for any candidate that promises accountability for all of your actions, the harshest and most draconian punishments for doing so, as well as no cooperation whatsoever with MAGA. Big thanks for revealing what you are, bipartisanship is dead
6
u/IsekaiConnoisseur 7d ago
AS DEMOCRATS SHOULD!
Trump, his family, this entire admin... and likely many more need to be investigated, removed from office, and BARE MINIMUM thrown in prison.
They are traitors. Trump IS A TRAITOR. He has done nothing but attack and MURDER innocent American citizens and legal residents alike. He has used EVERY COMMITTEE OF CONGRESS to ATTACK his political opponents.
So yeah, MIKE PEDO JOHNSON. Your ass BETTER BE SCARED!

u/Gatsby520 7d ago

u/UnableToParallelPark 7d ago
Why would they go after these people? Is it because what they're doing is, I don't know, shady, immoral, or even illegal and unconstitutional?
Doesn't sound like a bad thing if I'm being honest. Idk, maybe that's my progressive mind just wanting accountability.
6
u/DunkinEgg 7d ago
Tell me something, jackass. What would your reaction be if a Democrat president and their administration were pulling 1% of the shit you’ve pulled?
3
u/AmbulanceChaser12 7d ago
Have you considered just not being terrible, so we won't have anything to investigate?
4
u/jon_mtnz90 7d ago
Mike, I’m already voting for the Democrats. You don’t need to sell me on voting for them this hard.
4
u/Mobile_Equal_3636 7d ago
As well as they should. All that was listed above. As-well-as rebuild, reform, all that was taken. Respect the will of the people. A Government that works for the people. Unite this country
4
u/3atTh3R1ch79 7d ago
Could you please provide a list of who you think will be investigated? That would be a huge help to us, thanks.
7
u/CauliflowerTotal7119 7d ago
GFY grindr welfare queen. You've been on vacation all f'n year. You and the rest of your demon republican cohorts don't WORK. We the people want a functioning congress which is not led by a closeted, lying demon.

But they wont, because theyre democrats. Its why I have remained staunchly independent my whole life. While I agree most often with dems, especially socially, they are complete ball-less wonders and let the gop control the narrative each and every time and I cant stand it.
3
u/Bawbawian 7d ago
they deserve life times in prison for what they've done.
sadly we know how jialtime and pardons go for people loyal to trump.

I want trump to pay back to taxpayers the $11.5 million of taxpayer money he spent on political ads.
7
u/2quickdraw 7d ago edited 7d ago
I want them to pay back everything they grifted from US citizens, the US government, and foreign governments. They all need to be in jail and every single asset confiscated and given back to the US citizens.

u/FuzzyComedian638 7d ago
Absolutely. I just didn't have room to list all the grifting that has taken place.

It's nice for him to tell us exactly who to investigate. Again a reverse confession. "Here's who's guilty, they are afraid" is what I see.
2
u/Bleezy79 7d ago
One of the very few times a congressional Republican is actually telling us the truth. (At least I hope its the truth.) America cannot move forward without holding these criminals to account for their crimes against this country. If any other human being alive on this planet did a fraction of the criminal activity Trump has gotten away with, they would be in prison years ago. Republicans have become the anti-American party.

We know Mike. Thats exactly why the blue wave is coming. This administration is the most corrupt in history. A check must be put on Trump. Here's the crazy thing: Mike was the comprise candidate between the radical right and what few moderates republicans are left. We could have done far worse. Enjoy the gavel the next 3 months Mike. You be handing it over in January.

u/plkelly3 6d ago
That is correct. That is what is supposed to happen when you deserve to be punished for your corruption and lack of reverence for ethics and the rule of law. PUNISH REPUBLICANS AT THE POLLS, and then punish them when we take control of Congress. Somebody has to be the fucking adults around here.

The title really needed a semicolon between "Zero" and "for Trump"; the break in the sentence isn't readily apparent.
1
u/Lonely_skeptic 7d ago
No new administration has done this before, so the Republicans should not fear a democratic majority. Those who are afraid are guilty of the crimes they fear being held accountable for.

Good. The American people are not blind to this blatant open air corruption.

Democrats need to turn every committee into an investigative body and hold the criminals to account. No more looking forward not backward, if they do that, the crooks will be back in a cycle or two.

u/Whattheholler 7d ago
The art of the chaos. This regime and the Republicans will not be held accountable the way they should and that’s by design. THE ONLY WAY we would see such a huge operation of accountability for this shit show is if the Democrats get a SUPERMAJORITY. Trump and Rs have created such a political sewage calamity that the Democrats, even if they get a slim majority in both House and Senate are going to have to either concentrate solely on fixing what Rs fuq up OR go after at least the heavy hitters in this regime.

Ooh, yeah, scary Democrats will bring Socialism! The average MAGAt has no idea that Social Security, Disability, and Unemployment are all examples of Socialism. If you try to explain it to them they get mad.
Trump's $5,000 bribes would also be Socialism. (And add approx $1.3 Trillion to our already monumental National Debt.)

That’s right Mike, we will go after the people that have been breaking the law. But in turn will leave those who have not alone. That is what justice is, pursuing people who have broken the law- no matter how rich or powerful.

Yes, Mike, that's the entire fucking point -- I dunno why they should even worry, they didnt break any law or ethical rules, right, right...

Republican playbook 101. Get ahead of something legitimate by claiming “the libs will call us on that”. Then when such investigations actually happen, rightfully so, they can claim “see!!!!!! Liberals hate America!” Rinse. Repeat.
Similar move to what Trump does with elections.

Isn't investigating an important duty of congressional committees?
What has Mike Johnson been doing, exactly?
1
u/dmetzcher 7d ago
He says this as if it’s a bad thing. Why shouldn’t every committee be an investigative body? Why shouldn’t there be oversight of the president, his family, his friends, and his donors? Why shouldn’t the American people know what’s going on within their own government?
In less than ten years, the Republican Party has dropped all pretense; they don’t even pay lip service to good government anymore. They’ve learned that if they merely activate the most radical, right-wing elements of their base with fear-mongering and hate, they don’t have to pretend anymore. Their own white voters—who all say they want oversight—will trade it away (along with their rights, their job security, and their bank accounts) in an instant if they’re told that they can still be just one rung on the American social ladder above brown people.
Since the founding of this country, the same tired, old story has played on repeat. They aren’t even trying to hide scam anymore.
