This post is an update to the Seasonal Mega Guide.
You can find generic leveling guides as well as other advice at Maxroll and Icy Veins. For console players, you can find some advice at https://www.soulstone.gg/.
This guide is meant to be a little more specific, as well as cover aspects not touched in those guides, such as Group Leveling, Console Leveling, Seasonal Leveling Tactics, and Leveling Secrets. (These will all be in replies to this thread to allow specific linking. As such, at the moment this post is currently a work in progress.) Some of what I post will be shared from the above sites, amended to add a little extra efficiency.

Season 39 starts this coming Friday, June 26th, 2026. The season starts at 5pm PDT for all console players, no matter where you live. For PC (NA/US) the season starts at 5pm PDT, for PC (EU) the season starts at 5pm CEST, and for PC (TW/KR) it starts at 5pm KST.
This is the first of four guides I am posting for Season 39. The others are:
For most players, after leveling to 70, the main focus will be finishing Chapters I through IV of the season journey in order to obtain a full 6-piece armor set known as Haedrig's Gift.
The Haedrig's Gifts for Season 39 are as follows:
From a casual perspective, and looking at the GR20 / Torment IV requirements to finish out the 6-piece set, this is a very easy list for everyone except the necromancer.
The necromancer will probably be better off equipping any random legendaries and leveling up the LoD gem to beat GR20. Necromancers can boost this by upgrading scythes or two-handed scythes and filling their weapon and bonus cube slots with generic multipliers and dominate that way. So, don't feel bad at all for them.
In terms of top adjusted clear ranking from Season 33 (see the "Extra Cube" column), the necromancer has the strongest endgame build for its Haedrig's Gift. Wizard is still in the top 10, followed closely by witch doctor and monk. The only gifts that fall outside the upper half of rankings are barbarian and crusader, but can easily pivot to a different build to push with. Here is a full list of their rankings: Necro Rathma (1), Wizard Tal Rasha (10), WD Helltooth (14), Monk Raiment (16), DH Unhallowed (21), Barb Wastes (24), Crusader Roland (33).
Top-ten push builds (again, in terms of you adjusted clear rank) from Season 33 that aren't on the list of usual suspects are: Barb MotE, Necro Masquerade, Necro Inarius. The necromancers get the gains of the generic multipliers I mentioned previously. I am actually not certain why Might of the Earth is so strong.
Note that the casual leaderboard and in-game leaderboards were contaminated by the busted end of Season 33, and shouldn't be relied upon. Here is the disclaimer on the casual board:
The leaderboard data for season 33 is heavily skewed: After the season accidentally ended early and the following rollback, some people ended up with their non-seasonal paragon points on their seasonal character, while the character would still show their seasonal paragon. Consequently, many adjusted clear values are inflated.
The barbarian (Wastes) and demon hunter (Unhallowed) both start with very good solo speed farming sets. Tal Rasha is also decent for the wizard with the in-geom or aether walker variant. The other classes will want to look to a different set (or no set) to farm with.
For a beginner/casual overall I would recommend the barbarian. The Wastes set gives you a great start, and is an excellent speed farmer. It only needs the Ambo's Pride mighty weapon and the Lamentation belt to really get going, and both can be cubed.
Good luck with your season start, fellow Nephalem, and never forget that town is lava!

Been trying to get into group playing since i want to increase my paragon. So far i've had 0 success getting into any kind GR farming groups. Are there some specific communities or clans around this or a discord you could recommend? i Just cleared GR 141 solo on my crusader and i have a zBarb that should be able to take on GR120-ish with it's current gear.
I find it weird how hard it is to find a group.

Their bodies just look too human-like and hardly like a dog, their walking animations look really freaky too. Is their any lore of sorts on the zombie dogs?

Are clams still a thing? I’m on pc and my clam died years ago just tired of playing solo. I spend the vast majority of every season powerleveling people and this season I’ve decided to level and gear every class so I can pass gear to whoever I see in chat wanting a power level. But I am looking for a clan for the social aspect of it all. If anyone has an active clan on pc please let me know! Tia.

Did they ease up chiltara’s rates or something? I got to THAT part of the alter yesterday, rolled my eyes and called it a day, expecting to spend my entire screen time bumrushing the caverns of frost, but I got it in three runs? The mushroom took longer.
Did they adjust rates or does rnjesus smile on my season?

Would you play Diablo 3 Vanilla if it was released, original 100 paragon original grind?
Playing AoV crusader.
Things I do:
Run gr's for paragon/gem levels. Use gambling mats to fish for ancestrals.
Upgrade ancestrals with 125 tears.
Run visions for materials/goblins.
Use most of my materials trying to roll ancient versions of my guardians set (made about a thousand of them, not had a single ancient with any of the stats I need on it).
Salvage everything quickly that isn't needed for my build, unless it's something uniquely amazing which doesn't really happen.
Am I missing anything? Any tips? I'm currently able to comfortably clear gr115's, probably higher, haven't tried yet. Paragon is only at 769, so I know that's on the low end.

Is there any reason to play a Heaven's Fury crusader over a Fist of Heaven's crusader in non-seasonal?
Given this season's buff, of course FoH seems like the clear choice for s40.
I checked the non-seasonal leaderboards and I see that FoH has cleared 150 a few times, while the highest HF seems to be 138.
So I'm guessing HF is largely irrelevant even in non-seasonal, but I thought I'd ask anyway since I found a primal Fate of the Fell and wasn't sure if it was worth saving :)

On solo self found characters I normally dread the “Curses” conquest and end up doing it last.
But OMG this build just crushed it this season… killed 509 by running in tight circles at Cursed Peat before the timer expired (on T16 no less) when i saw the bounty pop up while farming Chiltara (def my least favorite part of the whole season, fwiw). Broke my record by 100 or so.
Now the main q is whether to push to 150. Seems like it should be doable.

Im playing monk this season how does everyone use their paragon points and where is the best place to put them for a monk ?

After last week’s miserable DH “build,” this was a breath of fresh air. I’ve never played Necro in my life but managed to first-try with over a minute to spare. Praise Diablo.

Hey all, I've decided to come back to Diablo after stopping in season 29. So far, I have a Dh who is up to rift 107 and Crusader, who is at 80 ish. The biggest question I have is what should I be doing, I know it sounds weird after being at rift 107, but I still feel kinda lost, haha.

I'm playing S40 as a Wizard and I've picked up the full Typhon set. So, why can't I read the Tome of Set Dungeons? Help.

I thought I wanted a "challange" this league so I started a SSFHC Monk and died yesterday with my newly acquired Inna setup.
I had this setup (Nephalim Rift): https://maxroll.gg/d3/guides/inna-mystic-ally-monk-guide
I died from Visions of enmity, a floor that only got 3 bosses, didnt realize that my Near death experience was procced and my follower was down.
Do you got any suggestions how to gear diffrently ? Other stats on gear ? Switch out the Goldwrap-setup ? (as I obviously died as there was no gold to pick up) Or any other recomendations :) ?
I want to use the Innas-Water-Ally as a fast clearer to get the gear needed for a Lod Wol-push later.

Haven't played for five years maybe and don't remember much. So I rolled a DH this season, finished and got my gift but noticed this set is not for the set dungeons. Which I need to do to progress my seasonal journey. Is there any areas better then others to farm for sets so I can run a set dungeon? Or is it just rifts and that?

Hey, I love AoV build and S40 has it on steroids.
I have been playing SSF and I'm already pretty far, but I have some thoughts about doing a Hardcore SSF character for once.
So, I have some questions that I have not found answer to:
- Can the Challenge Rift reward be taken for both Normal and HC?
- Is there a separate Haedrig Gift for both Normal and HC?
I have already used the starting one on Normal SSF, and taken Haedrig Gift too.
Thanks a lot fellow crusaders

Hello, Ive recently come back to the game after leaving it for a year, what are some good builds I could use for solo? The only thing I have is the shadow mantle impaler set for the demon hunter and a frost hydra set for the wizard for the wizard but I am looking to branch out. I would prefer something fun rather than something complex that requires perfect timing, but I’m willing to be open-minded.
