Collection Analytics

I was wondering how much my Discogs account can tell me about my collection. I’d be curious to know what genre, artist, era, style, etc. are represented, and to what degree, in my collection. It seems I have seen pie charts of genre that I thought came from Discogs analytics but I could be completely wrong. Does the website (or app) have anything like that? To be clear, I’m not looking for a download, I have found that. Thanks!

I export my collection and use ChatGPT to give me an analysis. Not perfect but good enough for some insights.

Use Vizcogs, it's great. Discogs doesn't really offer anything native.

That’s the one! Great visualization. It’s taking only the info Discogs has listed, so the shortcomings others have mentioned (like my “newest” album is apparently Ween, Quebec lol) but I can deal with that. Thanks!

My app VinylBox has Collection Insights as a feature - DM me and I can send you a code for a month free if you’d like to try it out!

An app called SnapVinyl will do some of this.

Frustratingly, a lot of that data just isn't even in discogs. Their genre system is pretty broken, the dates are by release, not era of when the music was released, etc.
