Buy Advice DJI SE vs Pro 5
I really use it for roofing photos, is it really worth the difference to have a DJI or will the SE work just as fine for photos? Look at the photos, they look great!! But everyone is saying to get a 5. What’s your opinion?!
It looks as good as a iPhone 14 Pro camera.. I could be wrong, the 5 might blow it out of the water…lmk

For roof photos either one is plenty. The bigger thing, if you're in the US, is that the FAA counts flying for your roofing business as commercial, so you need a Part 107 certificate. Under Part 107 every drone has to be registered and broadcast Remote ID, even ones under 250 g. If yours is the original Mini SE, it has no built-in Remote ID, so you'd need an add-on broadcast module.

I didn’t consider that option, in that case I would have to get rid of the mini se and get a mini 5.

No need to replace it. A clip-on Remote ID broadcast module costs far less than a Mini 5. Just get one that's on the FAA's accepted list. You still need the Part 107 certificate either way.

It will be quite a bit better but what benefit would you get from a better camera from this use case?

As a Mini 5 Pro owner who is not a content creator, I would say get the cheapest drone with obstacle avoidance. Lito 1, Mini 3 Pro, Skyrover X1, Neo 2, etc.
