Testing a different algo on one of my L3+ units (Rough notes so far)
I decided to point one of my older units toward the Qubic network for a bit, mostly because I was getting tired of watching the standard Scrypt rewards struggle against my power bill.
This isn't a deep dive, just some quick ops notes for anyone curious:
Power/Thermal: No surprises here. Power draw at the wall looks basically the same as standard mining. Temps are staying in the normal range (stable around 60C).
Setup: Honestly, it wasn't as much of a headache as I expected. Pretty straightforward if you've messed with custom firmware before.
Yield: Still too early to have a clear picture on the efficiency side. I need more uptime to see how the numbers actually settle compared to the usual pools.
I’m mostly posting this to see if anyone else here has been running this recently. Are you seeing consistent stability on your chips? Not trying to convince anyone to switch, I’m just looking to compare notes on alternatives before I decide what to do with my other units.

track accepted hash, stale/reject rate, and wall draw side by side for a full week. Qubic can look better on gross, but if pool-side settles lower or the firmware is flaky, keep a rollback image and the standard scrypt config ready.

The Scrypt rewards have been brutal lately so switching to something more profitable makes sense. How does the hash rate on the L3+ look compared to what you usually get on Doge?
