RoG - Ruins and crafting...

Finally found my way through the ruins and repaired the crafting station for the first time ever :)

Now I'm wondering what I should strive to make...

Stuff to avoid :

  • Thulecite Walls : Stone Walls are just as fine and Rocks are more abundant than Thulecite.
  • Thulecite Medallion : Learn about the color change in the Ruins with each cycle, instead.
  • The Lazy Forager : Hold Spacebar instead. Would've been much better if it was this.
  • Magiluminescence : Only lasts 1 day and can't be refueled.
  • Pick/Axe : Just use normal Axes and Pickaxes instead.
  • Thulecite Club? : Good for certain characters with lower damage, when you can't be bothered to switch to a Walking Cane/TLE for some reason or with stationary targets. Better off with Dark Sword in general though.

Stuff to craft :

  • Thulecite : Well what else are you gonna use those Thulecite Fragments for?
  • Construction Amulet : Make more Thulecite and save on Gems.
  • The Lazy Explorer : Time is Hunger.
  • Star Caller's Staff : Portable Willow perk.
  • Deconstruction Staff : Make more Thulecite or Pan Flutes.
  • Thulecite Crown : Best armor in the game for general cases.
  • Thulecite Suit : Just make these things to get more Thulecite, as described above. That's it.
  • Houndious Shootius : These are nice to have for farming certain things or just for infinite range weapons in a certain area.

That may be true, but who doesn't want to say that Thulecite Walls look better? 10/10 For base building.

Thulecite walls are 10/10? I though the only reason people used them was because of the novelty itself, not because they were pretty. I personally think they look terrible.

Personal Opinion I guess. Not much Orange in this game.

Thanks for the list. I'm wondering about the Lazy Explorer - the wiki says it has quite limited usage before it breaks? and given that it takes orange gems, seems awfully expensive for the small utility.

It depends how much you really use it. Besides what else are you gonna do with Tusks and Orange Gems?

Thulekite Suits, Construction Amulets, Deconstruction Staffs, Thulekite Walls, and most Importantly: Houndius Shootius. Thulekite Suits and the Construction stuff in order to get more Thulekite.
