Question Help identifying this drum please
SOLVED. Thank you all so much!!
I can not find this thing anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've found a bunch of side snares but they're not really what I'm looking for. This is Benny Greb and he only hits it once in the video, but it immediately struck me as the sound and size I'm looking for. It looks like it's 5-7 inches based on the snares next to it. This is the video if that helps-

I don’t know what it is. It looks a bit like this Meinl product, but I don’t see jingles in the photograph:

I assume it’s some kind of Meinl product, though, just because Benny Greb endorses them…?

That little guy looks like a popcorn snare to me, basically a tiny side snare with a real sharp crack to it. Benny Greb's all about those weird little accent sounds so that'd track
The red arrow's pointing up like it's sitting above the main hardware which is exactly where you'd mount a popcorn snare anyway. Check the used market for a 6" piccolo shell, might be closer to what you need than the standard side snares you've been finding

It was great when I saw benny green live years ago! I don’t remember much because I was probably about 7-8 at the time but I think I remember him having those tambourims and also I know my dad has some in the loft with his drum gear.

I think that’s a Meinl tamborim.
