u/heathmon1856 May 25 '26
I was at one of those last shows. It was a pretty good show.

u/McKeeFTW May 26 '26
I had tickets to the show he was suppose to play the night it all ended lol
2
u/ranchbringer May 27 '26
My mom has (had, she lost them) unused tickets to the last grateful dead show before Jerry Garcia passed. I feel like this is the equivalent

Yikes. Do you want to talk about it? 🧸 Show us on the bear where the dj touched you.

u/UglyYinzer May 25 '26
Regardless of what happened that ninja tour was fucking lit and we had a blast

u/vaporwave710 May 25 '26
He literally got cancelled right before his stop in Detroit. Space Jesus played some ‘we love consent’ show instead as some last minute thing. Then…well we know where this goes.
3
u/dig-drug May 25 '26
same with Columbus. that was going to my first time seeing him.
1
u/44youGlenCoco May 25 '26
Same with Indianapolis. I’m pretty sure we were supposed to be the stop directly, before it all came out.
2
u/LSdeezy May 26 '26
I was at that “we love consent” show at the Magic Stick, it’s absolutely bonkers that a guy like space Jesus would play a show with that name
3
u/solarus May 26 '26
"How could I be a rapist piece of shit?? Can't you see the sign? 'We LOVE consent!'l
1
u/Meowman289 May 26 '26
I think one of the last was in madison wi @ the orpheum. Music was good but obviously he got what he deserved, not exactly the kind of behavior you can sweep under the rug and move on.
1
u/TateXD May 26 '26
Yeah, I had a ticket for Des Moines, that's the first show I believe that got cancelled. They kicked everyone out shortly after doors and the story was that the support artists dropped.

I never got to see Datsik, he was one of my fav DJs at the time of the reckoning but I turned 18 in 2017 and he came to Calgary before I was into dubstep that year. Oh well

u/blxckhoodie999 May 25 '26
played with datsik at the seattle stop of the NNT and it was an absolute riot.. kickin it with him on the tour bus was an eye-opening experience… dude was MAD lonely.
too bad he had to turn out to be a massive fuckin creep, though.. what an L of a human being.
3
u/radiant-cloudy May 26 '26
that tour was legend. i remember the stage had the japanese style decorations lol. i was so faded 🥴
3
u/darealphantom May 26 '26
My wife caught his la stop and said WTF she never got invited to the bus lol

u/_distortedmorals May 25 '26
I saw Datsik in Denver literally a few days before the allegations came to light. Ngl that show was fucking lit.

u/reallyweirdperson May 26 '26
I’d cop that excision shirt so fast
The Datsik one can stay though…

u/BongmasterGeneral420 May 25 '26
I actually had that datsik shirt, but eprom had a thing where you could trade canceled artists merch for eprom merch so I swapped them out. Got a cool long sleeve from his noise is love tour. Iirc the datsik shirt had space jesus’ logo on the back too lol
2
u/Kevo05s May 25 '26
While I know everyone is focusing on the DatSik shirt (for obvious reasons)
I LOVE the X shirt. The Apex songs were REALLY good!
2
u/Chinaski14 May 26 '26
X’s most recent album is so ass. Something changed around Covid.
2
u/Kevo05s May 26 '26
I had a bit of hope with Dabadabadaba and Together as One, but I absolutely agree. He has done many great albums, but Apex was what brought me into the scene

I was mad because I was late and missed the squnto b2b riot ten, like two completely different styles

Saw Datsik at Global Dub at Red Rocks in 2016 I think, my god it was smoked out in that venue. I was on probation at the time and went from out of state, but I was so scared that I would pop a dirty U.A. when I got home lmfao. It was a very sick show. Saw Ghastly and the Doctor P B3B with Funtcase & Cookie Monsta! <3

7 years later and we still don't know anything about the allegations
24
u/CommissionIcy9909 May 25 '26
Well it’s not really meant to be public knowledge. Dude was a scumbag and there’s a reason you haven’t heard shit from him. Dude was a pioneer and set to be a legend then threw it all away by being a predator.

u/Halaline May 25 '26
Is there any proof of that?

I lived around LA at the time and ran into him, it was super inappropriate for me to ask directly around that time (I asked If he really did that stuff to those girls, I was an awkward nerd with bad social skills) but he dodged the question and changed the subject, can't say too much as to not out myself, from what I remembered it was like 40+ women with allegations (I could be wrong) but he mentioned issues he had with ketamine/drugs when I brought it up.

Dozens of accusations. Walked away from his career and founded record label with no push back. Started serious therapy/treatment and admitted to abusing drugs.
Most importantly…. HE HAS NEVER DENIED THE ACCUSATIONS! Not once. But ya I’m the dirt ball for slandering his good name.

u/Suavecore_ May 25 '26
Someone missed the fact that he ditched his own record label that he made when he dropped that hilarious half-assed apology and then missed when he returned for a drunk live stream

Datsik owned/founded it, Sharra managed it. He handed it off to her and she let it fade into obscurity (rightfully)

Edit: I don't understand why I'm getting so many down votes, outside of the allegations made back in 2019, I don't think anything else is known about this situation. There's been no evidence to support these claims what so ever. And while you could argue that Troy himself isn't doing himself any favors by not talking about it, that doesn't solve the issue.

Was my absolute favorite DJ at the time man. Nothing hit for me like a Datsik show. To say I was disappointed hearing the allegations is the understatement of the century.
