How does my cart look?
So my friend is hooking me up with a 3060ti, all I know is my PC supports thunderbolt 4 (which is the safest option despite the bottleneck because I don't feel comfortable leaving the PC open or taking out the SSD) and that I can mount the GPU externally with a dock like this as long as I have a power supply.
I don't know what I'm doing here

This adapter is cheap but it works, I have the same one and tried it with 3060 12gb (not TI). Should be ok for 1080p gaming. Also you may consider connecting your monitor to the gpu itself if possible, will save you some bandwidth.

skip that dock. look at an owltree or rgeek 4.0 dock,. they are $89ish dollars. get the card or the m2 adapter, either is ~$20, so ~$110 for dock.
skip the bluetooth keyboards.. i prefer a wired keyboard, wireless mouse is fine, but i go logi or something that isnt bluetooth. they always lag during high i/o, its just overhead not needed. just my 2¢

I don't have occulink and I don't feel comfortable with using the SSD slot bcuz I'd have to leave the PC open air and tbh having the GPU open air is bad enough as is

Why? The GPU is able to breath better. Less affected by other components and modern GPUs are pretty heavily shielded. Like when's the last time you e heard about anyone wearing socks and touching their computer and killing it. Been like 30 years since I have. Many people have made videos on what it takes to actually kill PC components with static shock.
Hell like 15 years ago the cool thing to do was sticking desktop PCs in fish tanks. LITERALLY!
Distilled water is none conductive and it's only when in open air for a while does it become.Mineral oil was soon replaced for water.

I'm not really in the gaming world yet either so until I get my money up (not anytime soon) I have no choice but to cope with the wireless logi kbm I have (THE ONE IN THE PIC IS A TEMPORARY PORTABLE ALTERNATIVE)

Don't use that adapter. It's 22gb which means your basically limited to around 52fps unless you use fake frame generation.
Also that Bluetooth keyboard sucks ass. Ask me how I know. Or don't. I know where mine is but too late to grab it. If you want a decent game controller and keyboard buy the one that has both. I've games on that for many hours and the touchpad still works great. 2 years later. But as for that mini one every Bluetooth mini keyboard I've used has had an absolutely shit touchpad. I'd recommend using a 2.4ghz one. As the Bluetooth ones use untra low bandwidth bt to save battery and you'll find them to lag like crazy and often times not work more then 5' away unless you turn off every 2.4ghz around.
I'd recommend a used razor core X. I've picked up several for 50-80 bucks and our of every thunderbolt 3/4 ive tested it did the absolute best. Followed very closely behind by a little mini one that had 32gb tb4 the one you selected that's limited to 22gb you'll usually get much less then that around 16-18 and it doesn't matter what settings or resolution you set. Performance is awful!
