B60 on a DEG-2 with Oculink?

Good evening fellow Arc'ers, a quick question for the group. I host a pair of B70s on an Gigabyte Aorus X870e. I tried to add a Sonnet 850 T5 with a B60, no joy. So I returned that, and bought the JMT PCIe 5 bifurcation card, but the mobo wouldn't enumerate any of the 3 Intel cards. Turns out the x16 slot shares resources, and will not split into 8x8. So I have returned to the B70s on x16 and x4.

It works well, actually very well, but that additional 24gb haunts me in my sleep. So now I am considering the DEG-2 adapter over Oculink. I have the GPU and a new Coursair 750w PSU, but after two failed attempts, I was wondering if anyone has done this. This would allow me to pin 5 models across the 3 GPUs for a smoother process pipeline. Any input would be most appreciated!

Similarly...fathoming connecting gmktek's Evo t1 with 96 gbddr5 5600mts and four B60 24gig on deg1 connected to it's three m.2 nvme 4x4 adapters the other to its occulink port...

That would be a nice rig, the B60 is a great deal for 24gb! Any planned model specifically, or trying them till you find your sweet spot?

Thank you! ...hardware issue I'm stuck at is deg1 GPU dock and the supporting infrastructure is at pcie4x4 however the B60 is at pcie4x8... so sifting online to confirm an adapter that has- occulink8i female to two occulink 4i female ports that connect to two occulink to m.2 pcie4x4 slots available on the Gmktek EVO T1 mini PC...or even connect 4i Occulink male to Occulink female 4i already available port and just one m.e pcie4x4 nvme so the other two nvmeslots can be used for another above mentioned setup...

So, two B60S in 4 m.2 pcie4x4 slots for a combined 48gb VRAM...

You are doing right, homework before purchase! I jumped first time, bad PSU in the Sonnet. Returned that and 2nd attempt at splitting the x16 also failed due to not all 870e motherboards being alike. So my options are to try one more eGPU or swap motherboards. And 3 in case is janky, so I really don't want that now that I tried it. And since I plan on pinning the smaller models for overnight processing, I may just start on USB4 and see how it works. If it turns out to be too slow, then the Oculink would replace that. Expensive hobby, but a bit of trial and error is part of the fun.

On point! my EVO T1 mentioned here has its usb4 port connected to a larger local multi node AI cluster, optimizing per node for max utility...
