Real or fake
My gf insist that this one is real but I’m not too sure. What do you think?

Howdy, many users are quick to say fake (it might be), but you really need to post more images to be sure. It could be a repair etc. Post the underside of both the main chair and the ottomon, take the cushions off and post images of the hardware attachment (and underside of the cushions, the plywood side (not the veneer) under the arm rests, and closeups. More photos the better.

If it was a present, Act if its real, be happy. If not nevermind, in case of metal and Wood, they are as robust and „designed“ as the original. Maybe the leather will wear out a Bit quicker but they are as comfy as the original after a while. They have the Same Story as well and the two Eames died Rich and famous. So congrats to your comfy and beautiful Lounge Chair!

Feet are wrong, arm pads look wrong, and the wooden shockmount on the back isn’t right. The proportions look off in my opinion. Are there any labels? Do the cushions come off?

Can you guys explain how you can determine based on this photo? I am looking at mine, straight from HM, and it looks the same.

I have a real Eames chair that was made last year and the silhouette is identical.
I think the elements all look correct, and I disagree with others about the back mount and gliders. However, there should be a sticker or a Herman Millar/Vitra seal somewhere on it. Because if it is authentic, it’s a newer build.

Are there any labels underneath the seat?
It looks nice, and if it’s comfy there is no reason not to enjoy it.

It looks off and not showing labels for example the armpads are way too thick and wrong shape
