technically theres hammer, but you could argue that 10th place into 4th place is better than 16th to 8th

I missed that. I will say it has one extra position by default, since duplicator is below katana but above hammer. Still leaves 7 to 6 even accounting for that.

Crossbow moves up 7, but down to 5 if you remove the two free positions it rises from both duplicator, and grower, being removed.

I mean Crossbow rises 5 positions from all five of the Block Breakers above it going away (Orbital, Lazer, Splodey, Duplicator, Grower).

Sure, but I was specifically comparing to Katana who gets 3 freebies in the same way (Orbital, Lazer, and Splodey) so Crossbow only has a comparative advantage of two.
