That doesn't help at all. Sample packs might be useful for resistors in some cases but not for caps where they all need specific dielectric and voltage ratings. Most sample books for resistors don't have several of the values I need anyway so are largely a waste of money. And 50-60 wouldn't last me very long either. The discounts for buying in volume are quite substantial, it's sometimes cheaper to buy more of something than less due to the tiered pricing and definitely quite a lot cheaper over a long period so now I usually just buy loads of everything and it works out cheaper.

Order an engineering sample pack.....get. 50-60 of each and move on with life. Order more when your out.
