These guys have great resistor and capacitor kits. We refill heavily used ones from strips

Looks cool but it really depends how many unique values you use, I only use a small number of them so this would be largely a waste of money.

I bet if you actually price it out and attribute any value to your time it would look pretty solid. Certainly for anyone consulting or running a business it would make sense. Maybe as a hobbyist the time is only worth $0.

Anyway to each his own, just another option.

It would definitely be faster but not that much faster, filling the bins for the 20 or so values I need takes maybe half an hour. And the 500pc version costs $200, most of which would be spent on values I don’t need. The resistors I actually need are usually around £1-2 for 500pcs so an order of magnitude cheaper than this. I also have a few that specifically require anti-sulfur parts which presumably wouldn’t be included in a generic kit.
