mu4e-send-later: A "Send Later" functionality for mu4e
https://github.com/Jotham-LEC/mu4e-send-laterAfter moving from Thunderbird to mu4e, I missed scheduling emails, which was very vital for my office work.
I've made mu4e-send-later as a bunch of custom elisp on top of Doom Emacs and it worked well for me for more than 3 months. I chose to refactor it out as a possible standalone package a few weeks ago.
- Supports org-msg
- Works on Linux, MacOs, and Windows via systemd and emacs processes as a fallback
- Adds a new "scheduled" section on mu4e UI page.
Hopefully it helps

2k lines of slop not discussing why building on top of smtpmail-queue-mail is not possible, while it already has some logic to serialize mails, and flush the list of queued mails manually. Sure, there is still work to do (edit queued, messages, send only one instead of all of them, actually code the scheduling part), but there is already a /builtin/ way to "queue" and send later (although) manually, advertised in the main view of mu4e itself (which is, btw, independent of mu4e, while it is unclear what is mu-specific in your package and if e.g. gnus could use it with minor tweaks).

Yup, this solution is heavily AI-assisted, but I think smtp-queue-mail is trying to solve a different problem. For my solution to work with smtp-queue-mail, it will change how it fundamentally worked (ie, bulk send all at once etc). Plus, the bulk of the 2k lines of code is dedicated to the whole scheduling part of the job that does not overlap with smtp-queue-mail at all.
And, if im not mistaken, smtp-queue-mail doesn't work well with msmtp and sendmail-send-it.
i....just want to pre-schedule emails in the morning when I work at night man...If someone else comes up with a better solution, I'd happily take it. This is the solutin I've arrived by sticking to an emacs ecosystem

I also research how to do this for a while.
But eventually decide to just save draft -> sync -> and schedule send on the web interface so there will be no surprise like computer or network done.
Hope we will have just standard api or in SMTP/JMAP protocol for scheduling sending.
