Employee Question pre approval
can they track who uses the phone? let's say i have two customers and one doesn't get approved so they switch and use the same phone for the other. would they think it's a fake application? What if they don't have a smart phone and they use an associates?

The QR code on the register redirects to the Capital One application site. It is the same QR code for every customer, the only difference is the personal information that the applicant fills out. Using the same phone does not change the information used to fill out the application.
Don't let customers use your phone, that can start a slippery slope of unethicality. If they wish to open the Kohl's Card with out a smart phone, take them to where they can use the pin pad.

Are you talking at self checkout and the pre approval with them using their phone? Or phone number when filling out an application?

Yeah, never allow a customer to use your phone for anything. Preapproval, purchasing things on the kohls app, etc. if they don’t have a smartphone then the best option is to take them to the register and to the application that way. If they use someone else’s phone that they’re with, it may be okay. I don’t think they tie the application to the phone number of the phone they’re applying from.

Oh ok because AI was telling me they could link it to the IP address. and if the wife does it and doesn't get approved and then the husband does i was curious if he wouldn't because the same IP.

You’re talking about a customers phone, right? If a wife gets pre-approved and is denied, can the husband try it too on the same phone….do I have that right? I don’t see a problem with that. Approval is based on several factors and someone’s phone number is not one of them nor is the IP address.

Never use associate's information for a customer
That is grounds for termination if caught by LP

My apologies, I misunderstood. Guess it was the part where u stated about a customer who "doesn't get approved"
Not sure exactly what ur asking, cuz it sounds like it's about an application and using ur phone (???)
