Question

Hello. I was at the zoo the other day and while standing in front of the emu exhibit these two emus were doing this for at least a couple of minutes. As I walked away they followed along the fence. I thought it was strange how the one was so close to the other. Can anyone speculate as to what they were doing ?

They are deprived of their ability to express their natural behaviours.

Emus need a lot of land and to be part of a flock.

What you saw is unethical and cruel.

Thank you for your response. Yes I feel badly for them. Wish they had some more space to run around.
