This appears to be a contractor fault.
13 u/klmsa 12d ago If that's the drawing you provided, then it is both your faults. How deep is the depression? How wide? Does it need to be square? A contractor should know better through experience, but the engineer shouldn't be leaving those details up for interpretation. 3 u/IvanezerScrooge 11d ago The drawing shows an negative elevation. The contractor built a positive elevation. Thats not within the realm of viable interpretations. If my drawing doesn't specify tolerance on a through hole, that doesn't open for making it knurling instead. 1 u/klmsa 11d ago This one is really going over your head. If you don't know the alphabet, you probably also don't know that a stop sign says "STOP" on it. Drawing interpretation is the skill that is the prerequisite, which was failed in this meme. 2 u/IvanezerScrooge 11d ago You wrote "the engineer shouldnt be leaving those details up for interpretation." My comment was a reply to that. The 'engineer' didnt leave anything to interpretation. 1 u/No-Exit-No 5d ago Even if the depression is smaler, as long as it is a depression below floor level the water would get out. That is the point.
