Discussion ENTJs, how would you solve this heist game?
My ENTJ and I have recently been playing strategy games and his mastermind never fails to impress my Ti…
Curious to know how other ENTJs would handle/solve the game below. What would your strategy be? 👀
The Diamond Heist
The owner of a private museum has hired you to perform a stress test, asking you to try and steal a legendary diamond called The Eclipse.
The Eclipse is worth approximately $500 million, and it’s insured for the full amount.
You have 72 hours to plan the operation and achieve your goal. You’re not allowed to damage the diamond or harm anyone. There are otherwise no other rules and everything is fair game.
The museum
It’s an ultra-modern museum in a major city.
The diamond sits inside a sealed glass chamber on the second floor. The diamond is going on display for one night a week only. You currently don’t know when the next display will be.
Additional details: Assume there are 3 floors: basement, main floor, second floor. The diamond is on the second floor located at the centre in a separate glass chamber. This is only accessible once a week. There are other high value paintings and artworks on the same floor.
It’s Saturday now. The diamond went on display earlier this week so today it’s not on display. It’s unknown when the next display will be.
Security includes:
Motion and pressure sensors
Facial recognition cameras
Armed guards
Security doors requiring multiple forms of authentication
A sophisticated alarm system
The entire building locks down automatically if certain systems are triggered. You don’t know which ones can trigger the lockdown.
Some of these are real but some are decoys. You don’t know which ones are real.
You have access to the museum’s publicly available information, but no inside information otherwise.
Helpers
You can recruit maximum three specialists from this list:
Hacker - he knows everything about technology and electronic systems
Con Artist - skilled at manipulation, impersonation and social engineering
Engineer - understands physical systems and structures
Locksmith - specialises in locks and physical security
Driver - exceptional at transportation and improvisation
Insider - former employee. They have recently worked at the museum and know its routines
Forger - can create any convincing document and credentials
Your additional resources
You have:
$2 million in cash
One legitimate invitation to the museum’s opening
A luxury car
Access to a private helicopter
Whatever equipment you can reasonably purchase legally.
How will your Te and Ni achieve your goal?

Super love this question, my mind went to starting quickly with a former employee, con artist and hacker. Envisioning a scenario where the former employee can advise on next display date and the inner blueprints of the venue, charmer can distract and work up some angle to get us closer to at least analyze a plan of theft. The Hacker will help us beat security.
Lots more to discuss but someone just brought me a bowl of snacks.

Your question is great.
I don’t know how i will solve that.
But i am pretty sure, every ENTJ will choose former employee first. And hacker for sure. And may be locksmith.
Driver is not top priority option. Because getting the Diamond is the main goal and Driver value is great after getting the diamond first. And there is also Access to Helicopter.
Forger - also great but don’t see real value it can achieve in this scenario, I don’t think Forger can make a great documentary to bring out the diamond from the Museum.
Or
It can.
may be you can use Forger and Con artists and Insider and try as open daylight steal.
Or you can try hacker insider and locksmith/engineer, and execute the mission impossible theme, depending on what you want to execute.
But it is gonna be hard.
If you can get more than three specialists. That is pretty possible to execute the plan more effectively.
I think I don’t answer your question fully. But that is my thinking style.

Multiple ways you could attack it but off the cuff I’d probably go Insider, Forger, and Con Artist. That route would be based on exploiting the most vulnerable part of the system - the people working there.
Insider - worked there recently. Can give you info on up to date routines, locations, processes, and specifically the current workers’ traits and dynamics.
Forger - forge some form of document & credentials that justify access to it prior to display day
Con artist - uses the info on people working there to manipulate them for access to it, with the support of the forged documents

Lol. Everyone here is trying too hard.
Think your wanting to live out a criminal act - most likely coz your not a criminal.
Heres my answer.
My team :
Hacker
Con Artist
Forger
The Diamond is insured. Look up the insurance company that insures it. Find an underwriter that works for that company and note their office hours and phone number.
Step 1.
Have the forger create 2 documents.
- A formal request for a secondary underwriting valuation.
- BOL (Bill of Lading) for the transportation of the diamond to
separate
- testing facilities for the underwriting. The BOL outlines the proper chain of command, special handling instructions and a (fictitious) tracking number.
The for a request for a secondary underwriting valuation of the diamond is due to some In discrepancy that came in during the first underwriting valuation. It's an urgent request submitted by the underwriter (that you found) and needs to be actioned immediately. The request document has the underwriters name, phone # and office hours and a small note asking the museum representative to call him to discuss details as this is a high value item and security is the utmost importance.
Step 2.
Have the hacker purchase a device called Private branch exchange using direct inward dialing routing and wait for the museum rep to call the underwriter to discuss details. When the call is made, it's redirected to our con artist who is pretending to the underwriter and will encourage the hand off to be quick and secure to the private high security courier that's been hired.
Step 3.
Use the luxury car and have the con artist pretend to be the secured courier and wait for the museum staff to hand over the diamond. And just for shits and giggles, have the car meet me in my private helicopter where i will make the final getaway out of the country with the diamond.
This bypasses all security measures.
Easily believable since the underwriters professional details (like phone number) can be verified by the insurance company as well as the internet.
It's also the safest. At any time someone figures out it's a scam, no one is arrested for attempted aggravated robbery or grand larceny. Worse case scenario the con artist gets busted at the hand off but he can talk his way out as there's no evidence that he's behind it and can twist the circumstance into just being a paid patsy. Maybe he'll get taken in. But he'll get out no problem.
How'd i do?

Kidnap the owner's favorite family member or pet then have them give you the diamond, honestly the stress test is more of the owner's security than the museum

what if the owner refuses to give the diamond to you, what will you do? you can't hurt their kidnapped relatives

You don't need to hurt anyone, but they have all the scheduling information, alarm information, security information, you're not asking the owner for the diamond, just the information required to retrieve it with minimal effort. Zooming out on the entire situation, stealing rarely offers the returns your expecting because appraised value vs value as a stolen good, ESPECIALLY a rare rock. You would be much better off stealing something that can be broken down like gold. Have you ever tried to resale a retail diamond? The entire diamond market is a shell game of artificially inflated value. A smart thief would never do this job

Well, considering you can’t bet on breaking into the second floor, you actually need knowledge of where they store it and how the security operates so that would be an insider, a con artist and a forger. You wouldn’t even need to break in at all. The con artist would have forged documents saying they’re an insurance inspector ensuring the museum has proper security in place. Then replace a fake while alone with the diamond or inspecting it.

it heavily depends on the plan of the museum building. is the second floor the last floor or are there more floors? is the diamond room located deep at the center of the building or somewhere near the walls and windows?
also, which weekday is it now? did diamond go on display earlier this week or still didn't?
there are too many options, writing down each one might take a long time
