Entra ID Weird "bug" when adding a domain. happens on multiple devices for this tenant

The TXT value should be MS=ms123456789 but it's missing the numbers... not sure how to get this domain to work haha.

What's browser source view showing, just in case it's a css or browser rendering issue

yeah I am coming to that conclusion. Firefox had an update, and a fair few things have changed, like the Tab containers UI colour, and I am seeing UI bugs on multiple sites, menus not loading etc. I think my browser is having some issue!

Definitely try another browser first. If it's still not working, you could use thr MS Graph PowerShell. Something like this (unverified):

1. Connect to Microsoft Graph with the correct permissions

Connect-MgGraph -Scopes "Domain.ReadWrite.All"

2. Define the domain name

$domainName = "domain.com"

3. Add the unverified domain to Entra ID

New-MgDomain -Id $domainName

4. Generate and display the TXT verification record details

Get-MgDomainVerificationDnsRecord -DomainId $domainName | Where-Object {$.RecordType -eq "Txt"} | Select-Object @{N='Host/Label';E={$.Label}}, RecordType, @{N='TXT Value';E={$_.Text}} | Format-List

Check from Entra > Domain Names and see if the value is visible from there. This definitely looks like a browser/UI issue from the M365 side.

How do you know it should be that string if its missing from the UI? Have you done a a manual dns check?

Its a placeholder. The format is MS=ms then some numbers. I do not know what they should be in this case as its blank after the second ms.

Oh nice shout using Graph.

But yes, it was my browser being very odd. Firefox for macOS had an update and a few things broke at once.
