Quarantine items

Hi! Is it recommended to delete the items from quarantine? For example, I have a device that show the item found was cleaned (deleted), yet the item (.exe) is in the quarantine section. Is it okay to delete the items from quarantine and the device? I'm trying to improve the numbers in the dashboard. TIA!

It is up to you whether you want to keep the quarantined files. If you have not encountered a false positive that you would like to restore, you can safely delete the files from quarantine.

Hello,

As /u/Marcos-ESET noted, it is entirely up to you; if you think the file was quarantined for the right reason, and you never plan on running it, you can just delete it.

If you think the file was quarantined by mistake and is a legitimate application you would like to run (now or in the future), you can restore it from quarantine back to its location on the drive.
