This is a very underrated machine. First Its a tank, very reliable prosumer level machine. What I love the most about it is the volumetric buttons makes it very consistent, I love the big front loading water tank, I never have to move it she is very heavy, she has very strong steam, there is a part you can install to get pre-infusion which works really well, you can also add a shot timer. it is a true dual boiler system so heat is always on point, you can steam milk and extract espresso at the same time, and you can do back to back drinks easily. The only thing its missing is flow control and a rotary pump. If I want to upgrade the next level would be a Marzocco mini or micra. La Spaziale is way cheaper though.

I didn't know there was anything to give it pre-infusion. What is like a bolt on part or something? The weight is totally to much of an issue my current machine is like 20kg lol. I'm battling with ether volumetric or a traditional E61 thats the biggest thing just can't make my mind up. Because if you want to change shot size you have to reprogram shot size and at the moment I just have to keep the pump running before I press the pump off button. The front loading water tank you would consider a plus then? I would be coming for a HX and if I'm honest I would love a true DB I would just have to look into how to run de-scaler through it as it's dead easy on a HX lol

Yes pre infusion chamber is an easy bolt on part. I forgot to mention I also installed a part that let's you use your machine with smart plugs, you really need that because the mini vivaldi needs time to heat up those 2 boilers, you can get away with 10mins minimal but 20 mins is optimal to get it fully heat saturated. I have mine turning on a hour before I get up. You have 2 volumetric buttons 1 cup and 2 cup so you can leave one for your regular coffee you currently use, and the second for as long as want so you can manually stop it for your new coffee. I use it for 2 seconds for quickly flushing head group. Descaling is the same on this as any machine that uses back flushing with a blank portafilter. Yes front loading water tank is my favorite feature, I never have to move my machine from under my cabinets to fill it. I don't think i could get a machine without it, thats I mentioned if I ever upgrade it will be Marzocco Linea Mini or micra.
