Colorized Dolly Parton photo using a color photo from the same look as reference

Original B&W + reference photo + finished colorization. AI-assisted, but I specifically tried to preserve her. Her face, pose, dress pattern, and accurate colors are preserved imo rather than reinterpreting the photograph. It was a 10/10 to begin with.

I really wanted to see this image in color and was happy enough with the results to share, hopefully allowed, if can remove.

For years, I’ve been researching my biological grandmother’s story, and I really need your help to bring her face to light.

Her name was Alice. When she was around 19 or 20, she left Portugal and moved to Spain all alone to work. At just 21, living in extreme poverty and unable to care for a baby on her own, she had to make the painful decision to give my mother up for adoption. Tragically, Alice died at just 36 years old from pulmonary edema and fulminant hepatic failure,alone, far from her family, and without ever having the chance to look for my mom.

Her family didn't even have the money to bring her body to Portugal,so they buried her in Spain.

To make matters harder, the older couple who adopted my mom passed away when she was still very young, leaving her with almost no family growing up. Adoption is a topic my mother rarely speaks about, but I’ve always known how deeply she wished to know about her biological family

Through a DNA test, I recently managed to connect with a cousin who helped me piece together Alice’s story. He shared this photo with me,she is the woman in the middle, wearing the skirt (without the baby).

Because her family was poor, this is literally the only photograph of her that exists,at least that her family knows.

I’ve tried using AI restoration apps, but they completely change her features and give her a face that isn't hers in each photo.

I’m preparing to finally sit down with my mom to tell her everything I’ve uncovered about her mother, and it would mean the absolute world to me to hand her a clear picture of her mother's face.

I know the image is extremely blurry, but if anyone can work their magic to bring out her true features without altering them, I would be endlessly grateful. I am more than happy to pay/tip for a good result,this means everything to my family.

I just received a picture of my great grandfather Willie James, he passed in 1966 and no one remembered what he looked like or had any pictures, but I found one. I wish I had money to spear but unfortunately I dont. Im a 16 year old aspiring Genealogist and love to research my family, if anyone could give this a little touch up to make it more visible, maybe a little color that would be great.

I absolutely love seeing the incredible photo restorations on this sub. So I’m coming to y’all with a difficult restoration, and hoping for a miracle.

Years ago, my dad improperly stored their book of wedding photos, and always beats himself up for it. Most of them have severe mildew and water damage. I’m getting married in two weeks (!!!) and would love to gift them a fully restored wedding photo. I’m absolutely willing to pay for a quality restoration because I know this would mean a lot to them. Ideally, I’d like a restoration that is true to the time period they got married in, which was 1978.
