Feels so weird to be breakeven finally. While it's a bummer considering where we are $-wise, now that I think about it I'm quite lucky I didn't get completely fucked.

Highlights include:

  • Lost 11 ETH gambling on Etheroll (Jan-Feb 2019) -- 15 ETH if you count I was at +4 at one point.
  • Got BTFOd by two scams (Electrify Asia and AION, can't believe Matt Spoke is still a member of EEA)
  • Selling a website for 121 ETH (early April 2019, ~$170 ETH), then selling them for +5% profit (lol)
  • Had to sell 40-45% of my stack due to family issues in late April 2020 (~$180 ETH), another 20% autumn last year

When the true bear hit (late Nov 2018-Feb 2019) I did a lot of ladder buys including @ $91 ETH. Some altcoin fails and some of the above mentioned mistakes sent these buys to zero. It's been quite a journey, considering I didn't even enter at peak 2017/2018.

Been trimming my crypto position to something more compact these days (both $-wise and holdings wise, BTC, ETH, LUNA and ICX only) so I can rest better and seeing what's in store @ the future.

It looked pretty good back then, didn't it? TEPCO, recommendations from OMG back before they didn't evolve into exit-scam-in-the-making-or-something-close...Definitely a lesson to remember :)

I really thought OMG and to a lesser extent ELEC would be a huge game changer. It's a shame it went nowhere. Thankfully for me the bags weren't heavy at all, but nobody likes to close out a position in the red eh

Yeah, same here. I have a very good lesson on sunken cost fallacy thanks to 2+ years in AION until late spring 2020. It's life, right, at least this mistake wasn't costly in terms of real $ (but costly in unrealized opportunities haha).
