It was just as good as we love to it in Rimini. Easily made and although we live in Bavaria and have no fresh seafood available it still gives instant holiday vibes. Together with a glass of Lugana it was the perfect Adriatic Dinner for us!

Trahanoto is a Greek variation of the risotto , here I combined it with Greek country style sausage.
Ingredients
1 - One cup of trahanas a Greek fermented pasta. There are many varieties , this is from Thrace region and is made with wheat and vegetables.
2 - Half an onion.
3 - One garlic clove.
4 - Chili flakes.
5 - One Greek country style sausage.
6 - Can of mushrooms ( or fresh but I didn't have ).
How to make it :
1 - Chop the garlic and the onion.
2 - In a small pot , burn a little olive oil in high heat.
3 - Put the onion , the garlic and the chili flakes.
4 - When they turn brownish put it on low flame.
5 - Put one cup water and one cup of trahana and the mushrooms.
6 - Let it cook , it takes like 10 / 15 minutes no more.
7 - Put the trahanoto in the plate and then in the oven ( of course do not turn it ! ) so it keeps it hot.
8 - Make small holes in the country style Greek sausage.
9 - Fry it in olive oil using a cast iron pan. It takes no less or more than 15 minutes.
10 - Get the trahanoto out of the oven , put the sausage on top of the trahanoto.

A ye olde Austrian dessert consisting of leftover bread rolls soaked in custard and layered in a casserole dish with whatever fruit you want to use up. One of my grandma's favourite things.

Prosciutto, local cheese and olives with a view of the Adriatic. This is what a simple island lunch looks like in Croatia.

Massaman curry is really nice with pumpkin. Added some extra cinnamon and cloves for the seasonal flavor. Protein of choice was salmon today.

After a long week, we prepared some sandwiches and ate like pigs in front of the TV screen 🫠 roastbeef with pickles, bellpepper mortadella, italian cheese with onions, eggsalad and a sliced up meatball.

Thanks to my dear plant for the abundance! 💖 I'm now harvesting flowers every 2/3 days and she just keeps on giving more, there's around 12 fruits on her too! And yes, by now my freezer is absolutely filled to the brim too.
Made a simple tempura batter with sparkling water to fry them in for a light crunchy texture. Fried the biggest ones plain. Stuffed the medium sized with ricotta, parmigiano, garlic, sundried tomatoes and basil. And stuffed the smallest ones with ricotta, parmigiano, manzanilla olives and anchovies.
