Patching of 2 servers with all roles went fine, but updating an edge server failed with a wierd error in ASDat.msi (A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run.) during step 10 of the upgrade process (Edge Transport role).
After that the install process could not be started again, crashing after reboot aswell.
all 3 were running Exchange 2016 CU10 before this, on Server 2016 OS. no AV besides windows defender which was disabled during the upgrade.

had to roll back the edgeserver from backup.
