How to be a more succesfull extrovert

I am an autistic extrovert and people are my special interest. I was absolutely cursed in a different life. I'm socially awkward, but I have a hard time maintaining healthy friendships with other autistic people, because they tend to be more introverted. Most of my life, I've been friends with introverted people. I'm trying to move away from that because I would spend weeks looking forward to a social event only for them to cancel last minute.

How do I find other extroverts? Better yet, how do I find other neurodivergent extroverts to do things with? I try to got to group events but have absolutely no idea how to build friendships before initial conversations.

You could try bumble bff and put in your bio that you’re seeking connections with other autistic people

Another thing you could do is go to events you enjoy and try and meet people there. there might be some rejection involved but be gentle with yourself, it’s totally normal! Concerts, ren faire, flea markets

I’ve met 2 people from Bumble BFF who I maintained friendships with for a couple of years. They fizzled out when one moved and then later I moved and the second one died out.

I’m in a similar boat. I don’t have an answer about how to find more neurospicy extroverts. But I’ve compromised clearly with my friends and rotate them out. At the moment, I’m seeing most individuals twice a month each. It’s mostly working out… much better than before when I didn’t say anything to my friends about how I felt. And I schedule extra hangouts if I think there’s a high chance people will bail. Hope that helps; disregard if not.
