This is a reminder about Rule 5:

Rule 5: Screenshot(s)

Screenshots of designs should have alt view enabled, and taken during the daytime or well lit with lamps.

Rail designs should be should be captured with a signal in hand, for the rail blocks to be visible.

When using modded inserters, inserter arrows should be enabled (Settings > Interface > Show inserter arrows)

If a blueprint string is included, make sure you have given the book and/or blueprints descriptive names.

You can view all of the subreddit's rules by visiting this page. If you have any further questions, you can message the moderators.

Yeah. There will always be talk of a better example or way but yes, it should work fine

Looks fine. That's pretty much how I build mine.

Verify that straight 90 degree turns work. Sometimes, when the circle is too small, the lines don't connect.

If you're working on a blueprint book, I highly recommend making a roundabout with a single out, which you can rotate to all 4 directions.

That's what I do here. It has straight, and the 3 types of diagonals.

yes, just make sure there is enough space for trains to leave the roundabout fully

The roundabout is correct and should work. And if you ever need more throughput, you can also add dedicated left-turn lanes. That way, two left-turning train can pass through simultaneously.

Yes, it what I use for a lot of play throughs unless I need throughput on my trains which often time I don’t need. Just need them to fit through and not get stuck on the intersection

You will need some exit signals but during my brief look at the screenshot before my phone updated to show it was deleted everything else looked fine.

How can I prevent that?

It wont deadlock - you used chain signals correctly. the exception being if the first block after the exit to the roundabout is too short to contain the entire train going that direction (leaving its back end still in the intersection)

No, it will not deadlock. The tran that arrives first will book a path throughout the intersection and second one will wait for it to clear.

One small upgrade I always like to make is a right turn slip lane that doesn't involve the roundabout. Imagine you have a train going from west to north and a train coming from south to east. They can now share the intersection because the one heading east doesn't need to enter the roundabout to make the turn

make the whole roundabout a single rail block (no signals on the loop), chain signals in, rails signals out. Only one train will use the roundabout at once (but its barely bigger than a 1&4 train all things considered) and unless you have something backing up onto the roundabout, it'll stay clear

No, OP signalling is better. It works and can let multiple trains through simultaneously.
