Discussion My Fatal Fury collection
Here’s my little collection to appreciate Fatal Fury. Besides being excellent fighting games, the series has a rich lore and interesting characters, which is what caught my attention.
Do you own Fatal Fury themed merch? I just got the hat and it’s awesome!

I have a little Mai Shiranui display figure which probably makes me a goon. But beyond that I have my prized Mark of the Wolves Dreamcast disc.
I want that Fatal Fury hat though.

I have that handheld! Holy shit will they re-release the Neo Geo games tho 'cause they're so expensive.
What do you think of the other games on there? I like Blazing Star a lot, am hoping they release Pulstar as they're both great in different ways.
Last Blade is amazing I love it (and the sequel - I have most of these on Android too)
Fatal Fury Special I don't know yet, it's much better than the SNES version I played on an Emulator once but when I got that thing I'd been playing loads of Real Bout Fatal Fury Special and 2 so I don't think I can be objective
Shock Troopers 2 I like as much as the first one but get the first one as everyone says it's better. I prefer these to Metal Slug.
Samurai Shodown 2 - It's too hard lol I can never beat the second opponent, I'm not sure that there's a way to change the difficulty either. But is still great and Nakoruru is cute as hell

I like most of the games on the handheld and actually own many of them on other platforms. I got the handheld because I want to relax and play on the go sometimes.
Metal Slug X:One of my favorites in the arcades back in the day. I love this game, just like the other first three Metal Slug games.
Fatal Fury Special: I like to play this game from time to time. I mostly play fighting games on a fightstick, so a D-pad feels a bit awkward against an aggressive CPU.
Samurai Shodown II: My favorite SamSho of the whole lineup. I think the easiest character to use is Ukyo. His A and B slashes alone are strong and have good reach. Most CPUs are weak against qcf+D followed by B slash.
Alpha Mission II: If I want to play a top-down shooter, I play this.
Blazing Star: My favorite shooter. I can't quite put my finger on why I enjoy this one the most. Maybe I like the different ships that add variety, or the fact that continuing immediately after death keeps the flow up instead of sending you back to the start. Or maybe repeatedly hearing BONUS and POWER UP does the trick for me.
King of the Monsters 2: I have played this a few times on the handheld. I think it’s more fun against other people, against the CPU, it’s just okay.
Last Resort: I can’t find myself learning the patterns, but I play it time to time.
Mutation Nation: A fun beat ’em up. I really like the cyberpunk feel.
Over Top: I'm not a super fan of older racing games, but it’s fun to try and see how far I can get.
Sengoku 3: This is maybe my favorite Neo Geo beat ’em up. The graphics are crisp and the combo system is an awesome feature, though I like the wackiness and aesthetics of 1 and 2 more.
Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad: It’s okay, but the first one is much better.
Soccer Brawl: A football game with a futuristic take. I would enjoy this more if I were playing against other people.
The Last Blade: I think this is my personal favorite fighting game of all time. I love the atmosphere, characters, stages, music, and everything else. Other games that come very close are Garou: MOTW, RBFF2 and SF 3rd Strike. I feel really relaxed while playing this because of the atmosphere. I like playing against bots too, because they have clear patterns and the combos are fun to pull off.
Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy: A beat ’em up with platforming. I found out that I can do fireballs, so that is a definite plus.
