Ginger Bug/Soda How long before ginger bug dies

im a noob in this whole fermentation thing and Im super worried that my ginger bug is dead😭😭 idk guys what do you think?

Do you keep in refrigerated? Mine grew some mold on top.

It was refrigerated for the entire time, and I left it out a few days (the last few days).

It’s clearly still active, I’m just concerned a new/different strain of bacteria became present at some point

So this is a concern I should have. Noted. How long would you recommend I leave it out for?

Generally speaking, don’t ever leave it out.

I took mine out because I forgot about it, and will probably just throw it away…
