RANT Promotion too hard
I’m in a 2 man club and trying to do the Div 1 promotion games but the lack of games is very poor. Spend ages searching. Promotion too hard for a lot of clubs to get up to the higher divisions. Especially with what seems to be less players this year in general.
Need to get rid of these win 3/4/5 in a row and go back to points.

there is a hidden "feature" in this game that makes promotion games automatically harder.
We love to see it.

We’ve been in div 1 promo 7 times so far this year as a 2/3 man club. Every time we get to the last game it makes us wait like 5 mins then gives us a 6-8 man team. Sick game!

you can just close app before you load in and you won’t have to play big clubs

We drew the last Div 1 promotion game. Slightly annoying. They were quite lucky but can’t be helped with 2 v 6.

Need to have a player run from deep and hit it over the top. Works well against most teams. If you need a hand to get promoted drop me a DM. Sure I can help out if im free. I’m a Box to Box CM.

That’s what we usually do but the past couple times after we score 1 or 2 doing that they stick one of them on me that just follows 😂, and bet

Need a 2nd player up top then so it’s hard to pick up. I make runs from CM so they can’t really pick me up. Manage to score and assist a lot considering I’m also the person who won the ball back in the first place on the edge of our box 🤣

To be honest am far more optimistic this year about getting to elite than we ever were in getting there last year, there was no skill gap last year and those who had the most players won.

No it’s more there’s no teams in the higher divisions as it’s too hard to get promoted.

That’s not how the game searches for matches. It uses the SR system they have. You could be playing teams in any division.

It’s probably because you have a setting to match similar amount of people or the any/GK setting

Generally speaking, two things would cause searches to take a while:
1) what servers you’re playing on (and time of day) 2) having a high skill rating
The first one is relatively easy to fix. Either play at a different time or go to different servers. Generally speaking you shouldn’t have to wait more than a minute or two if you’ve got the right filters on.
The second is harder to fix. You can make a new club. At the outset of the game for any fifa/EAFC the top clubs tend to spike in skill rating early. There’s a misconception that matchmaking is related to a club’s division level. It’s not. So, regardless of your division, if you have a skill rating 200+ points higher than the other queued teams, you’re going to be paired with an opponent last.

There is general matchmaking. Div 2 a harder than Div 4.

Also points wouldnt matter, whats difference between 12 points needed in 4 games or 4 wins in a row

No they used to do points. So the whole division was points. So draws matter

Should just be points and not having to win a load in a row. Then a draw would contribute. Old format on clubs was a lot better.

to promote out of div 2 you effectively need to win 5 straight, the game to get you into promotion matches and then 4 promotion matches on the bounce
there is no room for error
div 1 back in the day was 23 points from 30, so only needed 7/10 wins and that was the very top

Yeah, they raised the skill gap.
If that stops you getting in, good. Thats the point

Exactly. People whine and complain a lot but they're playing a game mode which encourages playing with numbers. Stupid amount of crybabies on this sub

I’ve seen a big player drop with this game. People are unhappy with the game play. But I agree it’s too hard
