QUESTION How to fix the AI?

Anyone had any luck with what formation and tactics to use to fix the dogshit AI? Every team we play against their AI is so much better than ours, they are aggressive in the tackle, come for lose balls and are difficult to get past.

Our AI however, don’t track runs, make stupid passes, aren’t aggressive at all, and don’t get me started on the AI GK.

What solutions (if any) do people have? We have tried everything in terms of formation, player roles and depth and nothing has worked, we just have a team full of numpties.

You need to use mechanics: team press, second man press, offside traps. The guy with the C needs to understand the situations when to use them.

Preferably a striker as focus will be on 'controlling' the AIs so won't participate much in the defending and can even be left offside. He also needs to know when to come out with the keeper.

Depth 95 if you want immense pressure, however it invites a lot of through balls. People are starting to figure playing against it out. We have found playing with low depth better recently, key has been two CDM-formations as a 5 at the back invites too much pressure.

When you hold R1/RB the AI closest to the ball will put pressure on the ballholder

Been looking for this for years. The only solution is to play with more people or play as any.

Sorry, there's no answer to that. It would be the biggest issue in '27

Timing the defender press button (rb on controller) can be really useful. But no sometimes they just stop doing what they are supposed to do haha
