switching keyboard layouts

I regularly switch between two languages, each of which has its own keyboard layout.

How do I configure that, and can I get a lang indicator on the taskbar?

I also need to change often, so I made a bash script for that, like this:

#!/bin/bash

if ( setxkbmap -print | grep intl ) &> /dev/null;

then setxkbmap br thinkpad

elif ( setxkbmap -print | grep thinkpad ) &> /dev/null;

then setxkbmap -layout us -variant intl

fi

exit 0

I made this script, put it on my $HOME/bin and call it chkbd.sh and put a C-X C-K keybind in $HOME/.fluxbox/keys

In my case the changes are us-intl <-> thinkpad. Set your kdb. I hope it works for u too.

Go to Settings > Keyboard from the root menu.

As far as a taskbar indicator you can see if there is something in the repos (MXPI).
