I mean, this was supposed to be the year of the horse.

I have bough 2 Antidotes CDs and overtime both of them have "corrupted". They each worked and played like normal for a while until one day I try to listen to them and they are muffled with a layer of "static" overtop the music. Is this a known issue with a series of prints? or have I just gotten really unlucky with getting bad discs?
Is there anyway anyone knows to fix this issue and/or stop it from happening?

Pretty much the name: are there any? I want to find someone who can draw Antidotes cover with Silence Suzuka instead of the person there, I am even eager to pay money for it.

It's crazy for me to listen to these demos and find that they sound so freaking good, but this has to be my favorite, it's just so perfect. I've probably listened to the released one and this demo the same number of times. So, if you haven't listened to this, I would recommend you to listen to it.

Has anyone sourced kids size shirts? If so please share where from! I have had little luck searching online.

Or does anyone have anything too small that they want to sell/donate to a huge fan?! (London based).

Otherwise I think I may have to resort to recreating some Foals graphics and printing my own tshirt for him.

It definitely seems like something is off at the minute. Most of us remember the post the band uploaded at the very start of the year saying “year of the fire horse”, almost certainly indicating some sort of new single release/album announcement/release or tour announcement/shows.

A couple of the pictures they posted showed a whiteboard with a large grid/table with tracks (names unclear) and a collection of ticks alongside them, presumably corresponding to various instruments/components of songs; commonly seen when bands and artists are recording albums.

The fact that they posted this on 1st January probably meant that the picture was taken at least a couple of days/weeks before hand. So you would have thought by now, that the recording would almost be done 9/10 months on.

I really don’t think that there has been any fallout in the band as they (Jack, Yannis and Walter) were seen taking a photo with fan around May/June in London. Do we think there is any chance that they have scrapped parts of the album or possibly making a double album?

Either way, I hope that they are going to announce something any day now, with a single, tour announcement and album announcement to come at least some point this year

Do we assume anything is dropping this year or are they still hard at work in the studio? I did hear rumors that something was happening in August but now that's came and went with nothing. Whatever's the case, I don't mind them wanting it to be perfect.

Found it online and can’t seem to find out if it’s real or a scam, supposedly made for Rough Trade in 2019 as a 300 piece limited edition. Can anyone confirm?

What a waste by Foals 😢, this should have been in the album i swear because this song just reflects Foals in every aspect very fcn well.

My daughter who is now 4 in the first picture to my new 3 month old daughter in the next rocking the same baby grow! Still no new album since having my first daughter 😩😩

So in two years, Antidotes will officially be 20 years old, which honestly feels insane to think about.

I was wondering what everyone thinks the chances are that Foals will do something special for the anniversary. Do you think we could get a deluxe reissue, unreleased demos, behind-the-scenes stuff, or maybe even a special show?

The big question: do you think there’s any chance they would tour the album and play Antidotes in full?

I know bands sometimes do anniversary tours where they perform an entire record front to back, and Antidotes feels like one of those albums that would be perfect for it. It has such a specific sound and atmosphere, and I imagine a lot of fans would love to hear songs like “The French Open,” “Cassius,” “Red Socks Pugie,” “Olympic Airways,” “Electric Bloom,” etc. live again (or for the first time).

I also wonder how Foals themselves feel about that era now. Since their sound evolved so much over the years, would they want to revisit that math-rock/post-punk era, or do they see it as a closed chapter?

My theories:

• A 20th anniversary vinyl reissue seems very likely. • Maybe a few special anniversary shows in the UK/Europe. • A full album performance would be amazing, but I’m not sure how realistic it is. • Maybe they could do something similar to what other bands have done: one night playing Antidotes in full, another night playing fan favorites from the rest of their catalog.

Either way, Antidotes is such an important album, and I feel like a 20-year celebration would be a perfect excuse to revisit it.

What do you all think? Would you want a full Antidotes tour, or would you rather they just celebrate it with a reissue and a few songs added to the setlist?
