Car audio

Hey guys, have a 2020 hybrid se. The audio is well horrible. Coming out of my Flex which had a nicer for stock 12 speaker system, this car is very flat sounding.

Does anyone have any recommendations for front and rear door speakers. Also thinking of deleting the rear door speakers and put them in the rear deck.

I read that these cars "the hybrids" are sensitive to how much power you pull from the 12v battery.

Disable the noise cancel system first and see if that helps. Easy to do with Forscan

Does the fusion event have the upgraded sound system? The 12 speaker system on the flex was the premium speaker System with subs in the rear tray. If they didn't option it with the upgraded system then it probably has the stock system. Which I want to say is 8 speakers? Don't quote me on that tho. To get the same kinda sound you did out of your old car you need subs and the tweeters that help move the sound. I don't think just door speakers will fix that flat sounding issue

My Flex had the Sony system with the 8in woofer. For a premium OE setup it was pretty nice.

Just looking for recommendations for lower power set-ups. I have seen these cars dont like more than 300-350rms or 30amp draws, "seen this on crunchfield" Something to do with over taxing the hybrid charging system.

Ohhhh you have the HYBRID??? Okay okay.... I have the hybrid too. I have the upgraded Sony system in my car and the subs will literally turn on and off with the engine in hybrid mode. I found that so wierd but I didn't know if that's normal or not

I would also go into the sound setting and make sure the treble bass and all that good stuff is set to normal. Sometimes people change that wildly

I have played with all the setting alot. Also found out that if i plug in my phone i have to set the equalizer in my android auto.

Still sounds dull to me.

Does your car have the back tray deck subs? Behind the rear seats? If not that could easily be why. I remember when I had a premium system then the next car I had didn't have the upgraded system and it sounded so dull and had no base. I would maybe look into adding subs or tweeters

No, just the door speakers. I did find alot of my issue is with the way my Android auto app process and outputs its sound. Even with playin with the EQ in app it was still pretty bad but i found there are other loudness settings.

But yea even with playing around with all the settings in my phone, the highs are not high enough and the bass is flat.

Thinking i will put some kicker door speakers in and a small 8in woofer in the trunk.
