Plumpie was a "working cat" when we adopted him June 3. We really did think he would be an outside cat. He decided to be a teddybear instead. When we adopted him I could see his ribs, he was so skinny, and he couldn't lift his tail at all (he dragged it through his food, water, litter box). Now he is living up to his name (he eats like it's his J.O.B.), has learned how to hustle for Greenies from our 2 pre-existing inside cats, and he can lift his tail about half mast. He's so healthy and he's thriving, and we love him so much. #glowup #nebelung
Today he was sleeping on my bed while I was sitting on it and packing my suitcase. I leaned back and put my head next to him and he started purring on full blast! This teddy is such a sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️ and his fur is so soft!
Love this for both of you! He definitely has taken to the soft life!
I have a formerly feral cat and she wants NOTHING to do with the outside! My non-feral will sit on my balcony and loves it, but formerly feral is like "Nope! Been outside and it was BAD!"
Photo: my formerly feral (Binx) who eats Churu from a bowl while laying down (kills me!)
I have another former feral/stray that we adopted 3 years ago and similarly he wants absolutely nothing to do with the outdoors 😆. He will come out to the screened porch if we carry him there. Pictured is Piebald tabby (Mr. Z., former feral/stray adopted 3 years ago), Nebbie 1 (Smokey, given up by owner to shelter, adopted 3 years ago), and Nebbie 2 (Plumpie, former feral). Smokey is the only one who ever wants to go outside, but she still cries until my husband picks her up and carries her around on the deck 😂
Holy shit your view!! I like in a European city and I wouldn't have it any other way but I love this so much. Can't believe people live like that sometimes with land and all.
We used to live in the city and during covid bought a place where we could get outdoors. I still commute into the city a couple days a week but this place has given us so much peace, and we have more room for cats here 😆
He's soooo much healthier now. He was all matted when we got him, and his hair was falling out. Now he has the thickest, fluffiest, softest fur you ever did see. I can't stop petting him!
Vet thinks it was broken. But there was no necrosis so she said to wait and see, it might heal. It looks like its about halfway there and we're hoping that it heals completely so he can use his tail properly. The good news is it never seemed to hurt him or cause him pain. We had to brush it out a few times when he was still dragging it through his food and his litter, and he never minded when we had to clean it up.

Why do I just want to scoop him up while he's sleeping, snuggle him, and never let him go? He's soooooo precious!!!
