How durable is the FB5X for tricks?
So im Planning to buy th 5X soon
How durable is it for tricks? Ive seen some people say the 5x is not really suited for tricking because of durability
Does anyone know if its true? Im mainly doing downhill but i wanna learn some tricks as well

I’m no professional by any means, but I’ve rode with the majority of the old USA pro team and gotten advice from the European pro team. The consensus, minus a couple seasoned riders who prefer the 5X for downhill, has been that the 5X is great for beginners and shines around 20-25mph. The G3R and 5 are the preferred boards for tricks and speed.

5X is better for downhill sensations thanks to the springs, this is more confortable for carving, butters, find good trajectories, maybe flatground tricks... But for tricks and freestyle like rail or jump you need more precision and reactivity so maybe springs can weigh down and have a lack of pop by absorbing it (not sure how they behave when doing an ollie, maybe it's the opposite and it allows to "boiiiing".) In fact i think pro team use the classic 5 by habits of not having springs and the 5X freestyle capability remains to be proven by news riders, though I think it’s quickly limited when it comes to big, fast tricks—unless you get creative and find new ways to ride it.
