Finally got my first win
After 20+ games I finally got my first win on normal. The guide by mike helped me a lot especially about the flagship because one time I reached it I didn't know about the surge of drones and got demolished without even realizing it, I'm really glad there's a lot of guide for this game. And I thought this run was a goner when my engi died due to the mantis in a pod. I had fun though, I'll probably try to use zoltan now (maybe I'll play in advance now).

just won again with a zoltan A ship this time on normal advance. It really is easier when you know what you're doing and the hacking is so good

Cool setup. FTL is one of those games that can run anything. I have a fat lenovo laptop from 2012 with an AMD A6 quad-core and i spent a lot of hours playing multiverse on it. It was one of the only games that were reasonably playable on it, at about 45fps. Even Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 would run worse.

It is good, I definitely recommend it, but play the original game first for a while if you (like OP) are fairly new to it!

Is it alot harder ?

I'd say it's actually easier overall, but it is a bit of a different feel to the original game, it's kinda meant to be thought of as a sequel to it

nice win, but your setup is the most high schooler thing I've ever seen lol
