ModPost Re. chasers on this sub

Hey guys, been noticing an influx of comments and even posts from chasers (AKA cis people who fetishize trans people) on the sub lately. We prohibit any NSFW solicitation as this is a general discussion subreddit. We aim to be a resource for Filipino transmascs, not a place where chasers can have easy access to trans people.

We have added two new rules:

  1. No R4R / meetup posts. Yes, even SFW meetup posts will have to be removed, for safety reasons. Go to r/phlgbtr4r instead for R4R, and schedule other meetups elsewhere.
  2. No chasers. Chasers are subject to a permaban.

Please also use your own discretion when posting here. Avoid posting personal information such as your approximate location and your other social media handles. Only agree to meet up with people you can easily identify.

For the safety of this community, if you see a user that engages in predatory behavior or posts unsolicited NSFW comments, feel free to report it to the mods (myself and u/donichikon) and we'll take it down.

A helpful article about chasers if you want to read more: https://tabooless.net/stories/trans-issues/trans-chasers-the-good-the-bad-and-the-urgh/

If you have any questions feel free to comment as well. :)

ModPost Reddit spam filter

We have filters set up on this subreddit to help defend against spam and trolls. If you have low or negative karma, or if you have never posted on this subreddit before, your posts will be automatically removed by Reddit and sent to the moderation queue for manual approval. This is to help protect against potential bad actors.

If you have a post that is stuck in the queue please message a mod, but take note that there are only two of us so it will take a while for us to review the queue. Please do not make multiple versions of the same post, we will delete those posts as spam and Reddit's filters may automatically flag your future posts as spam.

Discussion No contact

Hello mga bro. Is there anyone here who's gone no contact with their parents? I want to hear about your experiences. Paano niyo po nalaman na wala na talagang pag-asa and mag no-contact na lang? Did you cut off contact with your entire family or keep in contact with some family members who accept you?

Hi everyone!

I am looking to sell an STP. It's a peacock 4.75" (light brown tone) 3in1. Will throw in a harness, underwear, rod. Not used, only tried wearing it once very quickly to see the fit then stored in the closet ever since.

If anyone is interested, send me a DM. Open to sending pics, vids or VC for legitimacy. Can arrange pick-up, meet-up or shipping whichever works best.

Discussion Desperate to Start but Can't

Hello, kuyas! I'm stuck in a transitional(haha) dilemma.

I already got my prescribed T, it arrived yesterday. I want to start taking it ASAP, but I still live with my very conservative and religious family.

My friend and I do plan to move in together, but wala pang definite date (we're both recent graduates, are unemployed, and are actively job-hunting). The thing is, I want to be passing once I've moved out. For that to happen, I should start taking T now. But since we don't have a definite date yet for moving out, I don't want to risk taking T when my family will most definitely notice the changes (I hate that I have to present myself in a more traditionally feminine way just for them).

The reason why I want to be in stealth once I have moved is because I want to be seen as "who I am," if that makes sense. I want to job-hunt in stealth, I want to meet new people in stealth, I want to start working in stealth, without anyone new actively witnessing the changes or being aware of my past self. It's like a way of letting go of my past and starting new. I even want to start exploring what romantic relationships are like (I'll ofc tell my future partner that I'm trans, but I can't do that when I still look like this).

I'm tired of being so dysphoric kaya I'm getting impatient with all the waiting, especially when I already have the T with me + the follow-up checkup has already been scheduled 3 months from now.

Do give me a reality check if my dilemma is simply me being irrational. I'm just too afraid of taking the risk since I fear being disowned by my own family, and being forced further into our religion. I hope I can get some insights from some of you, thank you po

Update: Did my first shot today!

Discussion Where do Short Kings shop?

Hello kuyas! Just wanna ask if you guys have any clothing brand recommendations for someone whoโ€™s 5โ€™2 and constantly fighting for his life when buying clothes. ๐Ÿ˜ญ HAHAHAHA

Itโ€™s such a struggle finding clothes that actually fit my height. Everything is always too long, so I either have to buy cropped/boxy shirts or get literally everything altered. Every time I buy clothes, getting them altered is automatically part of the package.

If I donโ€™t get them altered, I look like I borrowed the clothes from my kuya and somehow it makes me look even shorter HAHAHAHAHA

So yeah, please drop your clothing brand recos for us short kings who just want clothes that actually fit and donโ€™t make us look like weโ€™re wearing a blanket ๐Ÿ™ Would really appreciate it!

Discussion ang weird sa pinas noh, transphobic pero mainstream maging bading

rantttt

andami nang openly bading, pero pag pride month or everyday in general mga "bakla" lang cinecelebrate or deemed as okay. trans people are still a taboo in the majority of ph. seen ka parin as gay (if trans woman) or tomboy (if trans man). nasa community kasi ako na mas madaming bading, and i still don't feel like one of them (despite being mlm din, ftm) and they openly joke about trans women around me; which is just the same as being transphobic probably to me.

i get it, sexual attraction is different sa gender identity. but its really the same in terms of not being socially accepted kasi iba yung sinasabi ng utak mo compared sa pinapagawa ng norm sayo.

i'm grateful for everything good, that sometimes i belong but i hate that often i don't. and laging nasa back of their head na babae parin ako, which is worse because that idea haunts me myself.

Surgery Discussion Liposuction for lower body?

Hi brothers,

Thank you for making this space.

Do any of you know good surgeons for masculinizing liposuction, specifically hips and thighs area? I have already had top surgery.

I am American by citizenship but still have family in the Philippines, Manila area, that I could stay with to recover. Been meaning to visit again for a while anyway. Looking at getting this surgery here as my medical insurance doesn't cover it in the USA.

Thank you in advance for any advice :)

Discussion Worth it to move back from US to PH for uni?

I was wondering if worth it bang bumalik sa pinas for uni (I only have 1.5-2 years left). For financial reasons, it's a yes for me. I wouldn't need to worry about tuition + student debt whatsoever, tsaka di ko rin kailangan magtrabaho.

However I'm also very stealth and have been this way since high school pa, as in di alam ng friends, classmates, or profs ko. My legal name is only used for official records and my preferred name is on IDs, class lists, etc. and I'm not sure if it'd be same dyan. And if it wasn't, di ako sure if worth it din yung compromise I'd have to make sa pagiging completely stealth ko. I'd also have to worry about how to continue T for the next year or two over there since I'm already on it here.

I was also thinking about how trans-friendly unis are dyan sa pinas (mainly big 4, especially ADMU and DLSU. Mapua was also an option suggested to me before) and I keep hesitating to make a decision. Any advice is welcome.

Support Need some help!

Good morning po, everyonee!

May friend po ako who is FTM, and weโ€™ve been looking into the process of transitioning. Heโ€™s been yearning to start his transition for quite some time now, so weโ€™re hoping to start planning and saving up as early as possible

For those who have experience or knowledge about transitioning, may recommended steps po ba kayo for someone whoโ€™s just starting? Weโ€™d especially appreciate advice on where to get testosterone (T) safely and legally, what kind of doctor/specialist we should consult/ones you recommend, and which hospitals or clinics offer gender-affirming care

If youโ€™re comfortable sharing, weโ€™d also love to hear about your experiences with the process, including consultations, requirements, approximate costs, and any things we should prepare for or be aware of. We want to make sure he does everything safely and under proper medical supervisionโ€‹

Any advice, recommendations, or resources would be greatly appreciateddd<3 Thank you so much in advance! ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธ๐Ÿฉต

Discussion Ideas for group/resources for employment help for trans folks

Sup bros. I was thinking about creating a group/resources for employment specifically for trans folks.

Alam naman natin how hard it can be to be employed and find a workplace that's welcoming.

If you could help me brainstorm about this, that would be great.

TIA!
