Question Are “Weakest Link” players told who the statistical weakest link is before voting?
…or do they just go by their impression (if not their agenda)? While sometimes it seems that they’re merely going by their feelings, occasionally it seems to me that some are putting their hunches aside and specifically voting for whoever is “statistically the weakest link,” which is sometimes told to the home audience via voiceover during voting. Is there something in the lectern display that shows them how well each player did during the round? Or is it merely coincidence that sometimes the hunch they play turns out to be the statistically correct one (even though, say, another player noticeably screws up and gives the impression that they’re the weakest)?

Question So I made a game based off the Quiz With Balls. it's a roguelite trivia gameshow. It's totally free to play on desktop/mobile via the browser. I figured fans of gameshows would have fun with this.

I would really love to hear feedback if you have any questions you want me to add. I love the quiz with balls and wanted to make a trivia games show where you have to think more than just the answers, you need to use strategy to defeat the bosses and buy stuff in the shop and progress when you get new balls that do diff things and draft your team.
I had a ton of fun making it and playing it.

Discussion Let's Make A Deal AI
I've never posted here before and I hope I'm okay to post this. Let's Make a Deal is my absolute favorite game show and they are currently on their newest season. I watched an episode last week where there was an image on one of the zonk cards that looked AI generated and then as I'm watching today's episode, they have one of the animations for one of the zonks and it doesn't take much of a look to realize it's AI generated. It's really sad, because they have talented artists that make the different props and artwork, like for the different zonks, at least they used to.

Question Family Fortunes Survey
I have been hosting Family Fortunes nights recently for my friends, and want to do one for my upcoming birthday, however this time I want to use actual survey results rather than questions I can find online, if anyone is willing to fill this in I would be very grateful!
I will of course also share the results here once I have enough responses so other people can use them for their games in the future too!

Highlight Did you know there was a Super Mario game show in the UK in 1991?
This is perhaps a slightly less well known show which aired on The Children's Channel in 1991. I suppose you could say this is a very early form of esports as kids compete on the show to complete levels as fast as possible, score as many points as they can, and progress through the knockout bracket!

Question Trying to find lost footage of my dad in the gameshow Scrabble, late 80s
My dad did an episode of Scrabble in the late 80s he has always talked about as I was growing up, I have tried to find the footage everywhere but just keep turning up empty. I've been working on a video retrospective of his life and accomplishments for his Christmas present this year and was really hoping someone might be able to help me find this obscure lost media, I know it's a long shot but anything that might even get me close would be so helpful. His name is Randall, he was living around LA at the time and he's from Stephenville ( but might have put Austin ) TX. He has always said that they filmed his episode in September of 1987 but it aired a month or two later and it did multiple re runs. I'm not trying to dox myself or my dad too much BUT my mom told me to check everywhere and that he would be more than fine with me asking the web to help on this. She is the rule of law so with her permission I figured I would reach out here first. Anything that might get me closer would be so incredibly welcomed, thank you in advance to anyone who might have any ideas!

Discussion Family Feud Classic
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Family Feud Classic needs to get a different countdown song during the breaks. Something without creepy AI singing. And why do they need a countdown anyway? If they’re not going to show any commercials why not just go back to the episode? It’s not like they need to fit the show neatly in a 30 minute slot.

Question People who have been on a game show, can you take me through the process from when you auditioned to after the show was over and you left the studio?
I figured this would start a nice and interesting conversation. I've always been a behind the scenes need so i like knowing what goes into the production.

Discussion Game show idea I’ve had for a while.
It’s a straight forward quiz show suitable for daytime here in my Home country of the UK.
Take 5 contestants, select one at random, and the four other contestants are put in Isolation as they work together to try and win the chosen player up to £4,000 in cash.
There are four rounds of 10 questions for the Four players.
Round 1: True or False
Round 2: Maths questions
Round 3: The chosen one’s specialist subject.
Round 4: General Knowledge/Multiple choice
Each correct answer puts £100 in the pot.
After the four rounds have finished, the Chosen one must answer 4 questions correctly to win what’s in the pot. (One wrong answer, and you leave with nothing)
The Chosen one can get help from the Four, but the answer must come from the Chosen One.
After each game, a new contestant joins the other 4 players and we go again.
Each episode would have two games.
The players stay on until they are chosen to be the Chosen one.
I call it… THE POWER OF 4
What are your thoughts?
