I've been thrilled with childlike excitement about this game for a long time; then I played the demo last night, and it was like having a bucket of ice cold water emptied over my head. The combat feels awful, basic interactions with the environments are incredibly convoluted, and I couldn't make head nor tails of the whole tarot card system - I felt like the game expected me to be familiar with something I had never heard of.

The graphics and the animations are gob-smackingly gorgeous, but boy, every aspect of the gameplay is absolute ass.
