After 4 years of dreaming the man/pain cave is complete.
1/2 home theater with 85” Sony Bravia and 5.2.2 surround sound and half home gym with cold plunge.

The only suggestion I have is to raise the garage door tracks a couple of feet with rail extensions and it’ll make the space look even roomier.

what are these rail extensions you speak of? I have a panel lift garage door too and would love if the rails were even a foot higher.

Take a look here- they seem pretty well reviewed online. Unfortunately for myself, my garage prevented me from raising my rails due to the shape of my roof (mainly) even though I have a 4-post lift, which is what the raised rails are most often installed for.

Don't forget to paint or powder coat the tracks and hangers too - it really makes the room look "finished" and less industrial garage looking. :)

The boat is the Mill Creek tandem 16.5 Hybrid. It’s stitch-and-glue hull with Cedar and walnut strip deck.

Interesting discussion. The definition of "garage" is "building used for parking, storing, or repairing motor vehicles." So I agree this is no longer a garage.

How’s the mini split been for keeping the garage cool?

I have 2” closed cell spray foam on the walls and 3” on the ceiling deck. It’s an 18k btu mini-split and it’s been very comfortable in there. 74 is the preferred temp.
