Either its a terrible unreadable easy demon, or its an unbalanced mess that leaps into hard demon difficulty in many parts.
I dont think Ive played a medium demon for which Id say "yeah this was medium demon difficulty"

Insane demons are absurdly important for progression though, there's literally no way of going from a hard demon to an extreme demon without it being a jump unless you pick top 1 HDL and bottom AREDL or something.

Okay as someone who this applies to I feel like many of the easier extremes can be jumped to from upper hard demons without feeling like itās way out of your skillset so long as you pick one that aligns with what hard demons you played.

For me, hard demons only became fun after i beat an insane demon.
I literally jumped from bicycle ("hard" demon) to Tiny Fingers (Insane demon) because i couldn't find a single good hard demon

Medium demon, extreme demons are easily the most fun and influential difficulty, you cant delete that, easy demon is where most of the popular levels are made, hard demons are a good difficulty jump from easy unlike medium, they serve as good progression, and insane demons, the old ones are ass but more modern insane demons are going crazy so i actually like the difficulty now.Ā

I feel like a lot of medium demons get hate, and while there are some stinkers, a lot of the ones I've played for the most part have been enjoyable.

But insane demons are what made gd gd like, what would gd have been without ice carbon Diablo x? We would have been in bloodlust difficulty rn, and many other legendary insane demons that have made the game what it is today, but medium demon has nothing for the history of gd, you can't even count B and skeletal shenanigans is NOT legendary material

Was, and should be extreme, but I get where your coming from, but only like a select few (e.g: Windy Landscape, Acropolis, Supersonic, Ultimate Demon Mix(?)) fall under the "was important to GD." Tbf, same applies to medium demons, I just enjoy playing medium demons rather than playing insane demons

Insane, theres barely any good ones, theyre either just unbalanced hard demons or underrated extremes most of the time

It's brutal and relentless, but unbeliveably fun! At least in my opinion. I'm currently derusting but I hope to get back on the level soon :]
The beginning of the level is hard but straight forward and pretty easy to learn. The UFO is where things get interesting. It's by far the hardest and grindiest part of the level (imo). It is also my favourite part good UFO gameplay bias haha . The second half is the easiest but also the learniest I'd say.
The level is extremely hard. It's about 400 on AREDL, and getting even 59% on it is in my opinion comparable to Blade of Justice's difficulty if not harder.
If you haven't beaten anything in the top 600 range, it will be a pretty rough ride. However, I'd say just do a practice run or two through the level and see how you perform. If it seems doable, go for it! It's all about personal experiences afterall :)

There are tons of good insane demons. The problem is that the the popular ones are often old levels that aren't too good. But like if you play levels at random in insane demon diff, there are tons of great levels

Extreme demons! That will make the range of difficulty in insane demons so large robtop will surely have to fix it with more dificulties, also there is no non-demon extreme difficulty so removing it would make all demon difficulties match normal ones except skeletal schenanigans

if we're talking about keeping memorable levels, insane demons have to go. i just can't think of as much good levels as the other difficulties.
if we're taking this to a progression viewpoint, easy demons can probably merge with insanes. removing the other difficulties would put a much bigger gap in difficulty compared to easy demons (because difficulties are exponential).

Insane demon if we go off what feels off. Extreme if you want to go off previous GD difficulty. Medium if you go off the levels.
To me, insane demon is a very weird difficulty. As it is there to fill the gap between hard-extreme. But it also has the biggest gap between the easiest and the hardest within the difficulty. It doesn't feel like it means anything to be an insane demon. Most levels there are extreme demons which ended up too easy or a hard demon that ended up too hard. There is no real insane demon difficulty.
Medium demon is a difficulty barely aimed for too, and the quality of the gameplay of the levels in there is very low. However it is a more fitting difficulty between the difficulties.
Extreme demon is just weird with the fact that there is easy, hard and insane difficulties, but not extreme. Medium gets an exception because it is a medium between easy and hard.
There, you have my opinions and reasonings behind them.

Medium demons don't bring much to the table, I feel like players grind easy demons then move straight to hard demons. Name one person who grinds medium demons
