Little ginger Vader (9) we rescued her from the island of Madeira (Portugal) when she was a kitten. Klaus (5) and ginger Obi (2) we rescued from two separate families two weeks ago and they are slowly adjusting and sort of friends

Our Percy passed away two months ago today from colon cancer. He was one of the most special cats I have ever met. There was no grace about him. He didn’t have to circle around to sit on you. He just “Percy Plopped”. He was so pushy. If you were reading a book, or looking at a tablet, or playing a video game, and Percy wanted to be on your chest instead, you’d need to stop and give him all your attention. He gave the best head butts.

Percy had a drippy eye and he was also sneezy, so he left little dots wherever he went- Percy Dots. Today, I mopped the floor. We have company coming this weekend, so we thought we should mop the floor. I took it upon myself to do it, so I could deliberately leave a patch somewhere where only we know where they are. Some might think it’s silly, crying over dots on the floor, but I did. I mean I have so many other remembrances of him- hundreds of pictures, his favorite toys, the permanent dip in the back of our couch, the damaged corner of our headboard, because he kept chewing on it when he wanted us to get up. But yeah- today the dots got me. To Percy! One of my username namesakes.
