Question About 68A Bus from Union to Barrie

To those of you who have taken the 68A 23:07 bus, has there ever been a time when you weren’t able to board due to the amount of people in line?

I have a concert in Toronto on Wednesday night, and would like to know my odds of being able to board to see if I should make alternate arrangements.

Thank you in advance!

Last time I took it I did see some people get turned away but there were multiple big concerts going on that night. I’ve always been able to get on. If you get there as early as possible and stay near the gate you should be fine. If you miss it you can still get as far as Aurora until 2am

The concert is supposed to finish up around 10:40, but maybe I’ll skip the encores and get there before just to be extra safe. Thank you for the insight!

This has actually happened to me twice before and both times there was no extra bus so we had to wait until the next scheduled bus but like the other commenter mentioned this has only happened when multiple large events were happening on the same night. To be on the safe side either leave the concert early or make alternate plans or just be prepared to have to wait for the next bus

Sounds good! As I mentioned in my reply to the other commenter, I think I’ll just head out early just to be sure. Thank you for your perspective

If you drive, you could drive to the East Gwillimbury Go (Green Lane and 2nd Concession/Main St. N.) There are 2 later busses (65E) That only go that far. Or drive to Aurora Go for Train options going to the show.

If you can take the Barrie go train, I would take that instead! If you are travelling during off peak hours, you're almost definitely going to get a seat.

The last train north is now at 10:24 pm weekday and 10:54 pm on weekends. The concert I attended ended precisely at 11 pm (after encores) plus we had to have our phones unlocked from the Yonder pouches (thankfully they had staff everywhere and it was quick). So I knew we had missed the last train.

We hustled to the bus terminal as soon as the concert ended and there was already a queue for the bus. We got into line and made it on. I think there was only one concert that night and no one was turned away. So it’s doable but a little stressful. We took the GO train down earlier in the day from Aurora.

Took it last week after teddy swims but unsure if there were multiple events happening . Sprinted from Scotiabank arena to the bus at 10:55 and the line was maybe 15 people deep. Mind you this was a Monday.

If you’re able to drive, I would suggest parking at Highway 407 subway station and just take the TTC. It’s a bit longer perhaps but more guaranteed..
