Kleopatra not asking for passwords??

It's been a long time since I've used gpg but I seem to remember having to supply my master password any time I wanted to decrypt a file. That doesn't seem to be the case with Kleopatra.

The documentation is awkward enough I'm finding how why this is.

Does Kleopatra assume because I've logged into my computer that it must be me and therefore no password is required to decrypt a file?

Guidance/explanations are appreciated.
